Las Marietas is one of the few place in the planet where you can find Blue Footed Boobie birds, and you will be able to observe them during the trip to the islands. From December to March, you might be able to catch a sight of the seasonal gray whales that visit the bay.
In this tour you will discover all this beautiful natural sanctuary has to offer. You will visit the coral reefs and meet a great variety of multi-colored fish and other species. You can explore the many caves (only certified divers), cracks, and walls. In order to discover all the marvels that nature has in store for you, we provide two tanks for an extra-long immersion.
You will also be able to see Giant manta-rays, eels, turtles, and if you're lucky: dolphins and whales (depending on the season).
You will sail to the Marietas Islands on one of our boats. You will feel completely safe at the hands of your expert instructor-divers. The depth of immersion starts at a 9m minimum (27ft), reaching 30m, depending on your level of certification.
You are able to dive in underwater caves if you are a certified diver. The islands are a natural protected area and as such, disembarking on the island is not permitted.
Additional Information
The duration of the immersion will depend on the diver, conditions and depth of the sea, up to 50 minutes per tank.
Includes a light snack
You have to be a certified diver to take this activity and had dived at least once in the last two months.
If you have not dived for one year or if you're not a certified diver, you will have to take a 2 hours class before the tour. (cost: 35 USD per person)
All instructors are professional divers with PADI certification.
