My wife and I went to PV last year and the resort staff recomended VV to us. We had a great meal&Margaritas and watched the sunset as the Huichol Indians spun around on their maypole on the malecon while playing their instruments, very nice evening. We really relaxed and watched the world go by.

Truely my most favorite restaurant in Vallarta. Great view and even better food at amazing prices. A must!

My friends and I (about 10 of us) went to PV for our high school senior graduation trip in 2003. Some of us have been able to go back several times and every time we visit PV, the first place we go is Viejo Vallarta.



The food is amazing, especially the chicken nachos. Someone wrote the food was bad, but I actually work for a restaurant guide and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the chicken nachos are by far the best I've ever had...we still reminisce about them!



As for the bar, there's nothing better. We made friends with the owner and his brother (JC...best bartender ever) and we have kept in contact for the past five years. There's a live band at night and a pool table as an added plus.



The view is unreal as Viejo is directly across the street from the beach; and its upstairs location provides an unimpeded view of the beautiful Puerto Vallarta sunset.



To put it simply: If you go to Puerto Vallarta, do not overlook Viejo Vallarta.

The food here makes me want to hop on a plane from Los Angeles to make dinner, then fly back afterwards. Best food in PV, best I've had in Mexico. Plus the staff is very nice (3rd generation family business), and great live acoustic music!

Don't go there to eat international food.
Eat local seafood "mariscos"
and enjoy the view.

House band swept me off my feet we spent our whole vacation there ...Greatest bar ever!

Great location with beautiful view of the bay and malecon. Unfortunately, food was just ok. Tried their tortilla soup and I've to say it's forgettable. I had better ones before. Kitchen service was slow even though there were only about 5 tables seated. We were a party of 4 and they messed up our order . We ordered shrimp, they either gave us chicken or beef. And totally forgot our red snapper. Overall, I'd not recommend this restaurant.

This bar is great, Great lively entertainment and cheap beer. Cant go wrong with that!

We come to PV at least once a year. We always seem to stop by Viego Vallarta's for a few drinks and food. Not the fanciest place but hey waddaya want? Great view, cold beers, very good food and great service. We'll go back.
