Description

Under the signature of Chef Thierry Blouet, offers an elegant and sophisticated gourmet scene, in an intimate ambience that will delight the senses. A dinner by candel light where guests have the choice of trying from 3, 4, 5, to evenl 6 courses of the great tasting menu. The artistically created plates are accompanied by a specially chosen wine to enrich both flavors.

On every visit, you will find new and different culinary experiences, enriched with influences from other parts of the world. Also, Chef Thierry Blouet regularly invites Chefs from all over the world to visit him and to participate in his kitchen. After dinner, an exclusive selection of liqueurs and cigars made by hand are offered.

Cocina de Autor is an intimate dining room, softly lit with the perfect touch for romantic dinners, with an elegant ambience and stylish décor that it will make you feel pleasantly relaxed. Live classical music is provided by Mexican pianist Antonio Lecomte.

Limited to 40 guests per night by reservation. The dress code is formal.

I haven't been here in a couple of years. Food was excellent. We were with the locals. It is more expensive than downstairs, but we did it for our last dinner. We ordered a dessert and it was signed by the chef. We have been going to Cafe des Artistes for years. I don't think I'd go upstairs again unless somebody else wanted to. Thierry Blouet really knows what he's doing. I think the atmosphere is nicer downstairs, but it does have music. If you cant a romantic dinner upstairs is the place to go.

This place is exactly the reason you should bypass the all inclusive resorts. Food as fine as any 5 star joint in the US. We went for the Chef's tasting menu along with the wine pairings. The food is only surpassed by the excellent service provided. We were completely doted on the entire time. Mind you, this is not a place for someone who is weak in the wallet, but for a special splurge? Well worth it.

This could have been in Los Angeles or NYC or any other international location known for superb food, great service, and a remarkable setting. We did the 4 course and shared, so we got to taste several items. Their fois gras was luscious. I can't recommend this enough, and the price for what you got was excellent.
