Description

Taking full advantage of the fresh vegetables that the region has to offer, Roots is a restaurant that even meat-lovers should not pass up.

The chef and co-owner, Andrew Fields, takes full advantage of the vegetables from the region and mixes them with the flavor of other countries. His cooking gives equal importance to flavor and textures as well as presentation; also, this is an innovative culinary proposal for Vallarta.

With simple decoration, the local norm, Roots offers and outdoor area with unbrells and has room for 40. It's one of those places where the head chef serves up slices of dedication in every dish. A place to leave behind you're old prejudices about vegetarian food and not expect soy on your plate. Highly recommended.

Unbelievable food with incredible presentation! This place was a real treat for your taste buds. The service and atmosphere were terrific as well. I had to photograph each menu item we were served it was all so good!

Roots completely blew my mind! During our week long visit to Bucerias, we stopped in three times. I am not a vegeterian but Roots has some of the best food I've ever had...PERIOD.

Everything we had at Roots was fantastic! so good that we went back twice in one week.

The service rocks, so friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was relaxed with buddha bar like tunes. In the back area they sometimes show movies on a big screen with lounge chairs casually about.

They offered tasty fruit drinks(with giant slices of kiwi garnish)wow the apple ginger lime juice was fantastic, also beers, wines (we had a pinot with our meal) and cocktails.

The grilled asparagus is a must, as is the fresh pesto penne. we also indulged in a chickpea curry w/ green beans (recommended), mushroom risotto, eggplant ravioli, salad w/goatcheese and more.

You have to go there at least once. they open at 4:30pm. Closed on Thursdays i think
