Outback Steakhouse

We were in Puerto Vallarta May 2-12. We went to the Outback one evening. The food was what one would expect at a decent steakhouse. The service was EXCELLENT. Our waiter was courteous and very attentive. As I had had trouble with my credit card the day before, I was reluctant to try using it alhough I had contacted my bank and they assured me there was no reason for it to have been declined.

I told our waiter about the problem and asked him to try to run it through and if declined we would pay with cash. He brought the credit machine to our table so we could try it. It went through with no problem.

Upon asking him how we could get a taxi back to the hotel, he said he would call one for us when we were ready and would accompany us outside so that there would "be no dangers". It was still daylight, but he did go out with us and opened the doors to the taxi for us. I'm just sorry that I didn't get his name so I could write to the restaurant to give him the praise he so deserved. It was a fine experience and we will no doubt return there for a meal the next time we visit Puerto Vallarta.
