My partner and I visited Mark's week before last.

It was busy, despite (I believe) it being considered low season. The waiters were good and efficient.

The food was good quality. I had the pasta which was good and my partner had tuna which he enjoyed. We had bruschetta to start and it was good but we should have shared one between us as it was very filling (though this is just our opinion of course).

The wine was nice though expensive (though all wine in PV and areas seems expensive).

Prices were average to slightly above I think.

Would definitely recommend.

Mark's is on my to do list for my annual visits. The service and food are both superior. Mark's is worthy of it's 4 - 5 star rating.

We have been going to Vallarta since 1995, and saw Mark's place transform from a little bar to the most magnificient, full of ambiance fabulous restaurant. There are many in Vallarta but none compare to the quality, and price of the food, combined with the atmosphere of the place. The staff us curtious and attentive, the owners are always present and make sure that everything is perfect. I would not go to Vallarta without having a dining experience at Mark's bar and grill.

I have been to Mark's many times, even since the early days, and have uniformly found it to be a delightful experience. If you are concerned about service - it's always been good to me - try to hire help in a Mexican resort and get them to show up on time. This place is an oasis in the milieu of mediocrity. Mark's margaritas are the best on the planet - I personally don't fault him if he engaged in quality control on an occasion. This joint is a keeper and the 4 1/2 stars are warranted.

We were in a mood to have a slow and leisurly meal. After ordering some drinks, we had to put off the waiter who was “pestering” us to place our order. I guess he was ticked off because he then disappeared. When we were ready to order it took a very long time to find him so we could place our order. But .... the food was superb.

Mark's Grill is the most terrible restaurant in Bucerias. Completely over-priced, rude employees (including the--perhaps intoxicated--owner, Mark). For those of you planning to visit Bucerias and do not vacation there often, avoid Mark's Grill. We live full time in Mexico and have heard similar stories from residents and tourists. Mostly, Mark's Grill caters to those who know little about Mexico, and are looking for a bit of "normal" and "safe" food.

Highly recommend this restaurant. Great food, service and ambiance. Loved their lobster ravioli, steamed mussels, bread, seared tuna appetizer, filet mignon- the list goes on. The only thing I didn't like is their lobster tail- didn't taste fresh that day. Otherwise, I think this is one of the best restaurants around.

Mark's had good food, but subpar service. My wife had the Tilapia&I had the crab stuffed Calamari that were both excellent. Midway through dinner our waiter became scarce and stopped coming around. I had to send the bus boy to find him for our check. If you get a better server, you will enjoy the food.

The food, ambiance, service are all top notch. Innovative, fresh, wonderful menu served in simply beautiful surroundings. Mark and Jan are wonderful hosts and Pancho, the bartender is the best in the bay.

Just go for the prawn(big)&pesto(fresh) pizza(dough rocked!), it is soooo delicious. it's big enough for 2. Make a reservation on Fridays and Saturdays, the place gets packed! We made a reservation for Fri 7pm and by 8pm there was a line up outside and at the little bar.
