I have been to Puerto Vallarta 3 times. Each time I have been to Mama Dolores Diner. The owner was a real character. We is the waiter or waitress depending on the heat. He is extremely funny and makes everyone feel welcome. The drinks here are large, cheap and loaded with alcohol. The location is on a quiet street downtown. The food here is good and cheap.

We ate at Mama Dolores Diner twice. Grant was a friendly and accomodating restauranteer. He was running around with my friends kids after serving them a couple of virgin strawberry Margaritas. Everything was as it should be from the authentic Mexican platter to the Southern fried chicken. Of course my taste buds could have been dulled by the best margarita in PV.

We went for breakfast. Great food, great price, nothing fancy. Fun atmosphere.

Voted author′s choice in the 2006 Lonely Planet guide, this small but popular eatery is terrific. Great food, great atmosphere and a bitchy drag queen every Friday. What more could someone ask for.

Great place to eat and enjoy. Food is great, and the atmosphere is delightful particularly the antics with Mama Dolores in her full costume. We enjoyed the experience to the MAX. The Turkey dinner was superb, and the Margaritas top notch.
