Looking for something original, tasty and of course Mexican? One block away form the Malecon I found this especial restaurant with a big red tomato on the door.
Nice place and full of surprises.

My friends and I (5 of us) came here on Restaurant Week based on other people's high recommendations. We were very disappointed both in the quality of the food and service. First, when we were seated, we weren't shown the Restaurant Week Menu. We had to ask for it. When the food came, the salads were swimming in dressing, and the entrees were small and underflavored. The chicken entree was dry and tasted like hospital food.

The short rib entree was one small piece of short rib swimming in broth. We complained to the staff who informed the chef, who in turn came to our table. When we told him how terrible the food was, all he could say was "I'm sorry, but what could I do?" We were just as dumbfounded. No effort was made to rectify the situation. Not a discount nor a free round of after dinner liqueur. Nothing. When the desserts came, the creme brulee was runny and a few days old.

This was Restaurant Week, when all the other participating restaurants in PV showcased the best of what they offered at affordable prices. If a restaurant is half-hearted about doing this, it shouldn't participate. We definitely won't go back here.
