We were in PV for 6 days at and all inclusive but chose to eat at Le Kliff twice. If you are in a hurry or cheap please do not go here but if you are truly on vacation, want to taste every bite, sip a cocktail, enjoy the most beautiful sunset ever while drinking a very tasty mexican coffee with the entire show and all Le Kliff is one of a kind!! We are getting married there in a few months and Carlos has been fantastic. I knew when I walked in that this would be the place if he asked...and he did on that trip!

I had my wedding at Le Kliff this past October and I have to say, that based on mixed reviews I wasn't sure what the food would be like. But I'm here to be 100% honest and tell you the food was AMAZING! My steak in chimichurri sauce was well done, tender and so flavorful! Everything from the stuffed chicken, to the greens, to the mash potatoes to the desert was awesome. All my guests raved about the food afterwards.

Though we were not impressed with the food (we had stopped in for apps and a drink), the drinks were fine, but the location is great.

My boyfriend and I went to Puerto Vallarta on the Mexican Riviera cruise. He said he wanted to take me to this restaurant, which I knew nothing about. WOW! I was so surprised! The ambience, food and views were ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!! The food was amazing, and you can't not beat the views! We were there right before the sun set, and you can not beat the sunset!!! You see it all! I would definitely recommend going to Le Kliff when you are in Puerto Vallarta... IT IS A MUST EXPERIENCE!!

The grounds are spectacular - no question but you can get much better food from the street carts. Also, as warm as it may be when you leave your hotel, take sweater / jacket as it can get very windy and cool. The view and the grounds compensate for the average food.

Better LOVE seafood

This is the place for you if you LOVE seafood. This is not your usual lobster- it tastes much different than lobster you get in the states. Also they serve it with lobster bisque and even seafood butter for the bread! I am not that big of a seafood fan, and so I left a little hungry. Also the cost just to get to this rest. from downtown PV in TAXI was $40 plus the dinner was $120 for 2 lobster meals. Didn't seem worth it to me, but like I said- if you LOVE seafood you may enjoy it! P.S. The view was amazing, make your reservation for 1/2 hour before sunset, and be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to get there- it's pretty far.

Le Kliff Chef

We have been going to PV for many years. Le Kliff has always been one of our favorite places to eat. Great food and atmosphere. the last couple times the quality and taste of the food wasn't very good. A friend that lives down there said they got a new Chef and he just isn't as good as cooks in the past. Our lobster was the texture of mashed patatoes. Go there, have a drink or two and go somewhere else to eat. It's a great place with bad food.

I went by city bus...it was fine....there were other tourists on the bus too....someone recommended LeKliff. The place is spectacular, the sunset was breathtaking....there was a wedding reception the late afternoon I was there....I thoroughly enjoyed the mariachi band, the beautiful bride, all the guests all dressed up ....

however, my lobster was not good and expensive.

If I went back, I would not order lobster, but I would go back!!

Beautiful place, mediocre food

I have to agree with Steve (reviewer - 4 mos ago). I hate to say this, but, the food is mediocre to low-average. I can't believe it since I've heard so many good things about this place. We politely told the waiter that both my husband's and my entrees were not good&the manager came over, appologized&replaced it with something equally bad. We didn't make a fuss, we just know we will not return. And we rarely complain. It is pretty pricey, but I would have gone back for sure if the food was good. I love the location, the atmosphere. The restaurant resembles a kind of huge Tiki hut in Polynesia. The service was very good, but the food was overcooked and just didn't taste good, the sauces either. Very disappointed. The food gets 2 stars, the ambiance/location gets 5 stars.
