excellent seafood in rustic atmosphereRated:![]() by peter preston from USA Written 7 months ago | We have eaten at this delightful rustic restaurant several times during our visits to PVR in the last 10 years, most recently in March 2009.
The food is always excellent, the staff is happy and efficient, the ambience is very casual under an open palapa. |
Great atmosphereRated:![]() by Nick Morgan (1 comment) ![]() from United States Written 8 months ago | Even thought the Highway is right out the front door, the atmosphere, service, and the food stole our attention. The kids loved feeding the turtles even though there were 5-6 signs asking people not to. I am sure we will eat here at least once every time we visit NV. |
AwsomeRated:![]() by kim from USA Written 9 months ago | We were in Nuevo Vallarta @ the grand mayan and enjoyed La Laguna two times while we were there in January 2009. My recommendation would be the taco apps, and the shrimp in a blanket. We also took nine people there for dinner our last night in town and only cost about $150.00 USD. We will eat here every year that we return.
*******Great resturant. --Kim from Las Vegas, NV USA |
Great atmosphere - try the desert.Rated:![]() by L. Polidoro from Canada Written 10 months ago | We had a great meal here - have and would recommend eating here - great atmosphere. If you want to be near the lagoon go early or make a reservation. Our kids were thrilled with the desert - ice cream frozen in a fruit bowl - very tasty - very original. |
EXCELLENT FISH - SNAPPERby rigmerle finch from St. Croix, V.I.Written 1 year ago | I would go to Puerto Vallarta again just for the fish...the snapper is incredible, I was seated by the rail where you can get to see the turtles and feed them as well, I enjoyed myself so very very much. I would highly recommend this restaurant. |
Very SatisfiedRated:![]() by eric from USA Written 1 year ago | The food was incredable and the price excellent |
Great authentic PV experienceRated:![]() by Jackie from USA Written 1 year ago | La Laguna is a must to experience the local PV charm. They have the best coconut shrimp and delicious margaritas. Plus the servers are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. The setting is great and it feels like you are apart of the Mexican culture. |
The best seafoodRated:![]() by Dave from USA Written 1 year ago | The atmosphere is casual-tropical, the seafood is the best I have had in Puerto/Nuevo Vallarta (been there 3 timeS). Excellent value.

Loriby Lori from USAWritten 2 years ago | We received a recommendation to the other restaurant by these owners but we didn't want to go into Puerto Vallarta that day so we tried La Laguna instead. We got seated right by the lagoon and watched a lot of water creatures, especially turtles waiting to be thrown bits of food. I would recommend taking bug repellent because we had a lot of bites by the end of the evening. The highlight of the night was the stuffed shrimp (stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon and then grilled) with a coconut dipping sauce. Awesome!!! Returning to Nuevo Vallarta in November and this will definitely be a spot we go to again. |
