Every winter Karen's is a "must" for us. We've taken numerous other people...no one ever has not loved the fine food, the relaxed atmosphere and the wonderful staff...and reasonable prices too! Classy yet comfortable thanks to the owner's gracious hospitality.

We have been going to bucerias for the past couple of years and have alway's enjoyed our meals especially their breakfasts.

I have been going to Karen's for 3 years, great food and the staff are very friendly.

My boyfriend and I went there for Valentine's day last year, and we STILL talk about it a year later! We arrived without a reservation. Karen opened up a table on the beach so we could stay. We watched the sunset over the ocean as we ate an amazing meal... Truely the best dining experience I've ever had...

A must for excellent food!! It has a warm friendly atmosphere with great live music!! I had the best Taco salad ever!! and my partner had the most amazing chicken dish, and we shared a desert while we watched the sunset in this fantastic location. The service by Karen and her staff was brilliant AAAAA.

As a frequent travelers to this area, we feel Karen's is the best, reasonably priced and consistant restaurant in the area. It's location on the beach and music is wonderful for sunset dining. We will return at least once evry trip.

I have been going to Puerto Vallarta/Nuevo Vallarta for almost 20 years. This is, hands down, my favorite place to eat. Always great food and great service. Karen herself, a British transplant, is usually there and is very welcoming to all! It's a MUST!

The best in Bucerias for food service and atmosphere.

My partner and I visited Karen's Place last Tuesday and had really been looking forward to going. However we were quite disappointed. We deliberately chose Tuesday as live music had been advertised, but there was none. Possibly we left it too late as we arrived at around 8.15pm and the restaurant closed at 9.30pm.

By 8.45pm we were the only ones left and the waiters were packing up around us. We didn't mind that, but what was annoying was their taking my partner's plate as soon as he ate the last spoonful - there's a difference between being efficient and feeling that you're not wanted!

Food: I had one of the pasta dishes which was rather boring, slightly overcooked in a creamy pesto type sauce with nothing (e.g. no vegetables, olives etc) else. I cannot remember what my partner had (chicken I believe) but he said it was mediocre. We had bruschetta to start which was ok but not great.
Prices were average.
