We dined here in May 2007 and believed it was the best dining experience we have ever had in the Puerto Vallarta area. We are returning in October 2009 and plan to dine here at least 2 times because of the following:
Fanatastic authentic italian fare.
Excellent wine selection and recommendations from the staff.
Prices are a little steep, but if you want the best dining experience, it is well worth it.
Not sure what some other reviewers are complaining about. In my experience, the negative comments sound like a different restaurant and maybe some grouchy gringos that can't wait to go back home. Cheers!

Excellent food, attentive but not pushy service and reasonably priced.

Ate at Angelo's this past week and I will tell you the food is to die for! Had the ribs, finger licking good. The desserts are all homemade and the chocolate cake is superb. The Hostess Alta, was friendly and helpful and the staff is bilingual and always with a smile. I will definitely go back.

I have only eaten here twice in 3 years, and only because both times we were dragged by our friends. The food is terrible and the wait staff is pushy. My friend who dragged us there the second time couldn't eat his fish entree because it simply wasn't fresh. Another friend who was visiting from the States couldn't eat his Pasta Calamari because it had no flavor and was, in his words, "inedible". Please don't waste your time AND money on this restaurant. There are definitely far better Italian restaurants in PV.

My mom and I dined a week ago there on our trip. The food was so good, the resturaunt is quaint, and Bruno, our fabulous server ( who even remembered my name and called out hello when he spotted us on the street a few days later!!) was great and made our dinner so very nice, everything to please us!!! will go back each time :)

We went to Angelo's on our final evening in PV. It was one of the best choices we made. The food was great, the service impeccable, the atmosphere was very relaxed and the prices were reasonable. You'll feel completely at home.

awful food, geared for tourists who will never come back. it is an avoid in my book to make it even worse tourist busses drive by and the fumes get into the food.
i say forget it

While the food was OK, I must warn that an attempt was made to overcharge the ticket by 100 pesos. When notified, the waiter adjusted the ticket, of course. I did not have the feeling that this was an accident. Also, the food is pricy for PV - iced tea 40 pesos, basic pasta 120, I believe. I would look around for something better next time.
