CasaMagna Marriott Resort & Spa Category Gran Turismo

I did not know what to expect. We ended up going here because we had enough Marriott points to go for a week. It was heaven. The service was amazing the food was incredible and the room was nice.

I felt like meals were fairly priced around $20 USD each. But if you are on a budget you could find food out side of the resort. We also ordered up room service on a couple of nights a split a meal because there was so much food.

We also went for the spa experience but the services were really over priced for Mexico. We walked over to the Marina and found a wonderful place that charged us $75 for a 90 min couples massage. It was fantastic! There are a ton of these places over there, so don't hesitate to ask to take a look around. They were more than happy to show us their facility and book us an appointment. We looked at 3 before we decided on the one we liked. We wanted to go back for a second day but ended up getting sunburned and really didn't want a massage.

All in all it was a great experience. We are looking to go back with the kids.

***Note beware of the many, many people in the city (or marina) that will hunt you down to get you to see a timeshare presentation. They are long and boring and no matter what they say they are high pressure. But if you are willing to throw a day at it you can get excurstions for cheap (or free). Just know what you are getting into.

I loved the location and buiding but the service is a big problem. This is a management issue that should be addressed.

Terrific location and amenities

While everything was pretty perfect, it was a little pricy. Also, the service at the restaurant on the beach wasnt quite as good as I thought it would be there.

Spent one week in April and the staff was excelent. Going back for a secound time.

Great Service, Great Location, Beautiful Property on the Beach and directly across the street from the Puerto Vallarta Marina. Easy access to Downtown Vallarta and just 5 minutes from the Airport.

The Casamagna is located in a calm location with a gorgeous pool. There is also a great view of the ocean.

I really loved staying here. The tranquility of the hotel starts at the drive up to the front door and extends to the sea. It was a beautiful location, lovely grounds, and a nice stroll to the Marina when you don't feel like being in PV for the evening. Not too far from PV but far enough to feel like you're in another world. Strongly recommend it for the stay -- not as impressed by food (prices a bit steep for PV). Nice that they offer a Sports Bar and a Japanese Restaurant for the change!
