Club Embarcadero Pacifico Category 4 stars

We had so much fun here we bought a time share! We are long time TS owners elsewhere, and immune to sales talk. This place sold itself! The young energetic entertainment staff had us from "Hello". Other places we never participated, but the staff here seemed to personally want us to participate, and we did, and we are NOT young. Later, our adult kids came back and they also had a great time. Go out to eat dinner, the food is not "Foodie" quality, but decent and plentiful. Clean, eager to please staff. We will see you again in November.

I was there for the week of February 13th - 20th, 2009. The time frame to which we stayed was very interesting. When we first arrived, it was predominately Mexicans from all over Mexcio, and had a really 'mellow' vibe. On Sunday (we arrived on the Friday) our resort was full of Canadians on their reading week. The atmosphere then turned to more party mode.

The hotel overall had a party vibe, and was a really great place to meet people and socialize. The staff were great and very friendly! I personally didn't mind the food (great breakfast in the am; Hamburgers, cheesy fries and nachos for lunch on the beach behind the Villas; and for dinner, there was an assortment of Chicken and beef with potatoes and rice). This resort is located on la marina, with a beautiful view. Directly across the road is the Villas where the beach is located. There are a bunch of nice resteraunts all around if you want a change from the buffets.

The night life was very, very packed when we were there. I especially enjoyed club "Hilo" and "Senor Frogs". It's an 8 dollar, fifteen minute ride to town. Be careful to tell the cab drivers the price first.

Overall I've heard and seen many complaints. If you want a more quiet laid back atmosphere, this place probly isn't your best choice. If you want to mix and mingle and enjoy a 'mild' party, I recommend it.

The rooms were a great size, and come equipped with a fridge and stove, and a very 'cold' air conditioner (which is perfect).

I had a great time, and look forward to returning soon.

This hotel is not for prim and proper people. If you like loud, pumping music and drinking all day you'll love it here. If you're looking for some peace and quiet, I suggest another hotel. Food was pretty good, staff very friendly. Drinks are very tasty, although I recommend ordering doubles :)



Plus, they seemed to love Alice in Chains, particularly "Bleed the Freak".

I have travelled extensively around the world and now enjoy the finer things in life. As I have time to pick and choose where I spend my time. This hotel is not 5 star in amenities but 5 star in effort to accomodate the traveller's needs. The location is outstanding and if you love the water, you will have the marina on one side and the ocean on the other. The room I had was roomy with large balony. Food is generally fine with breakfast being best. Service is exemplary. The activities group is especially attentive and please ask Jose for a game of tennis. (I am going to check up on his improvements) next time I come. Carol.

I loved staying here, the staff was friendly and inviting! The grounds were beautiful. the food was great! I have a food allergy and was fine! And best of all the drinks a great!

My husband&I have been to Mexico several times and this was the worst place we have ever stayed. Good points about the hotel are few and far between. Great view of the boats&marina for breakfast and our bath tub was huge and the hot water was always available. Booze was never an issue either. The drinks were strong and always an option. Other than that, we really don't have any good notes. The staff was not as service driven as other hotels and the activities were lacking. The pools were so cold you rarely saw anyone use them and during our stay the ocean was not an option for most of the days due to large waves. The worst part about the hotel was the food. It was the same thing over and over and it was usually cold. The fruit was in short supply and so was the variety. Everyone that we talked to at the hotel said the same thing - they would not be back.

Just got back from 7 days at the resort. Pretty Basic. Food was very basic. Fairly quiet, nice staff. Our rom was not great thus we upgraded to a suite for an additional $10.00 per day. Location was good in that it was next to the Neavo Marina . Lots of million dollar boats to look at. As well there is a great boardwalk with fabulas restaurants. i'd go back on a sell off again, otherwise would look for a 4 star some where else.

My family just had a week stay at the resort. We were very disappointed in the ratings. We would not give this hotel any higher than a 2 ranking. Compared to other Mexican 3.5 star hotels this one was lacking a lot.

We requested rooms together and instead we were on opposite sides of the building. We paid extra for one room to be upgraded and instead it was worse than the other two rooms. There was only one bar open during the day and night and it had very few tables to sit and relax. The food was the same every night and had no variety except Mexican. It is also served outside on a tennis court where the entertainment is also. Our room had rotten food in the fridge when we checked in and was not cleaned up until we put it in a garbage bag in the hallway.

The pool area is pretty but you have to go across the street to the beach. This is not a great place for kids and teenagers because it does not have very many activities.

I had some doubts about going to this hotel because of how cheap it was..but from the moment I arrived there I had a blast!! The activity staff and servers were amazing!! The bartenders were extremely friendly as well. The service was great and everything was also kept extremely neat and clean. It was a GEORGEOUS location with NO bugs what so ever. The bus ride was short and very affordable. The night club deal provdied by the activity staff was soo great!! Everyone go to Hilo!! I am considering moving into the area soon to work because of how nice it is. I would recommend this resort to EVERYONE and I am definately coming back! Activity staff made my trip so memorable-->Ivan, Emmanuel, Jose Luis, Luigi, Raul, Simone and Sara!! I miss you guys!!
