My husband and I stayed in the el Arbol room in spring of 2005. The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. The location is great, taxis are plentiful and there are some restaurants and shopping within walking distance. If you are a bit self sufficient, have a rental car, and don't mind driving in Mexico, it's perfect. The room was very clean and large. We would have preferred a queen size bed but pushed the two doubles together and enjoyed ample sleeping space. The breakfast was good, fresh coffee, juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, and pastries. The room is above a fairly busy, residential, cobblestone street and so it did take a night or two to get used to the traffic sounds. The grounds are lovely and private, the pool is refreshing. A great place to come "home" to! This little hotel is a wonderful alternative to the large complexes that line the ocean front in Puerto Vallarta.
