Perhaps Not 4 Star. But Truly an Authentic Experience

We traveled to Mexico early, before our time share in Puerto Vallarta, and found this place online. yes you can make ANY picture look fabulous..but this place, altho rustic and authentic in many ways, was definately a place I would come back to. The food was fabulous, the beach secluded and barely touched. So many shells and seaglass we found as we wondered. The Pool was quiet and relaxing. and the Landscaping was METICULOUS!

The accomodations were not the posh luxury we as Northeastern Americans were accustom to, but they were hardly unacceptable, and certianly tropical. They were clean and comfortable. You go to another country for an adventure, and a taste of their culture, and Vista Vallarta gave us that.

And as a last note, if you only spend one day/night there, the sunrise and sunset views were EVERY part of spectacular...I would most definately go back.

picture perfect

Amazing staff. We had such a wonderful time at this hotel. It was clean and fairly quiet. Everyroom with an ocean view. The beach so close. With the bus route right outside we could go anywere. I would stay here again.

Disappointing But No Snow!

This hotel is all suites and is right on the beach and, as such, has much to offer.

It does not, contrary to its advertising, have a king size bed in the master bdr and 2 dbls in the 2nd bdrm. Nor is it, by any stretch of the imagination, a 4 star accomodation.

The kitchen cabinets in our unit were rotting, the a/c units were old and functioned poorly (very noisy - little cooling), the TV was old and functioned poorly, bathroooms were badly in need of refurbishing, the towels were older than my kids and furnishings are best described as spartan.

I spoke to the manager about the deficiencies and his only suggestion was that I would be welcome to leave, hardly a constructive way of dealing with a guest who had prepaid the accomodations and had been misled. The restaurant offer a very poor menu, fortunately there are other local restaurants nearby. The bar supposedly offers 2 for 1 drinks which are still far more expensive than local beach restaurant/bars. This hotel is, however, a diamond in the rough. With some TLC and management that cared about the guests it would be worthwile staying there.

THE BEST TIME!!

I was there just this past September (2006) and I had a great time with my family. It was very private and the staff was friendly and catered to us at all times. Very relaxing! Going back this year!

Been there. Love it, heading back again in Feb. 07. Daughter, son and grandson heading there soon. Not part of the big resort scene at all.
