Wonderful family vacationRated:![]() by AR from USA Written 7 months ago | Our stay at Samba Vallarta was cute and cozy, and the kids had a great time. There were plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy and the staff was very accommodating. The food was good, not great, but the overall experience was very pleasant, plus the weather was amazing! It was a good choice for our first family vacation to Puerto Vallarta and I can't wait to go back! |
buen showby Alejandra Cortes from Jalisco, Mexico. |
For the price, there are better places aroundRated:![]() by Mr. McMarty from England Written 1 year ago | We stayed at this resort last January 2007.
An all inclusive place, but we did not appreciated this one. A bit too old, it would need some fresh paint. The inside of the hotel smells wet and moldy. The food is ok, the service also but nothing much to do around on a cloudy day. For the price paid, there are better places around. |
Best in townRated:![]() by Zenon Hernandez from USA Written 1 year ago | Samba is a good place to relax, they have only 180 room so you do not see crowds.
Food is good, service is good and access to amenities is easy. |
Never AgainRated:![]() by Harold Semon from USA Written 1 year ago | My wife and I purchased a 6 day all inclusve stay. Upon arrival the resort was musty, damp and had an odor of mold&mildew. Obviously it is an older building that has been remodeled, though not very well. Several attempts were made to locate a better (more pleasant smelling) room, all to no avail. The food in all resturants was cold, tasteless and virtually inedible. After 3 nights we gave up and came home. The service staff, front desk, waiters, pool staff, etc. could not have been better. They just have nothing to work with. The telephones did not allo you to call 800 numbers and the staff could not call out as well. Fortunately, we had purchased travel interruption insurance and will be re-imbursed for the 3 days we did not stay. Bottom line....YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. |
Great time at Samba!Rated:![]() by Jen from Canada Written 2 years ago | My husband&I just returned from 2 wks in beautiful PVR.
It was our 1st time staying at Samba Vallarta,&we are already looking at staying there again next year. The hotel staff are fantastic, very friendly, very helpful&really made us feel like family. The rooms were very clean&comfortable,&the grounds are very well looked after. This was our 4th trip to PVR,&we both agree that the staff at this hotel are the best that we have ever encountered. The food was good&was always hot when we sat down to our meals. I can't wait to go back! |
Our Spring Vacation March 2007Rated:![]() by Dennis Locasto from USA Written 2 years ago | The facility and grounds are well kept. The pool(s) advertsed as 3 is actually only one large pool separated by walkways. Speaking of the pool, service by the pool was practically non-existent. Food offerings on the buffet were ok but often over cooked and served cold! May I ask how many people enjoy cold waffles and French toast, not many I'd bet. Puerto Vallarta is a great location Samba unfortunately for my wife and myself was not. |
The Human familyRated:![]() by Stephanie Human from USA Written 2 years ago | We had a great family vacation with our family of 5 and my parents. Great staff and activities for our kids-our kids are already planning to return next year with or without their parents!!! They could just stay with Hazel or Luis for all Tyson cared!!! He has cried a couple times missing his "friends" in Mexico!!! Muchas Gracias, Samba!!!! |
I'll go back!Rated:![]() by E. Janz from Canada Written 2 years ago | We just returned and glad we chose to stay at the Samba. We loved the facilities, beach, and especially the staff. When our 8 month old became ill with high fever, the staff assisted in getting a very nice doctor, provided us with enough face cloths, towels, ect. we needed to keep her cooled. The concern the manager and staff expressed was very touching. The food was as good as we've had in much more expensive hotels. There are enough activies available. The cleanliness also impressed us. It seemed that staff was always cleaning things like deck chairs, lounges, floors, bathrooms, etc. |
Cant wait to go backRated:![]() by Matt from USA Written 2 years ago | The best week of my life was spent at Samba Vallarta. The staff was courteous and very helpful. The friendly staff had an affect on the guests who were also friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, with a wonderful view of the grounds and the bay. I recomend the food in the grill and Italian Resturant. It has only been 3 months since we were there and we are already planning another visit. |
