Willie and Lobo, the most famous duo on the Bay of Banderas have returned to Vallarta to play at various venues around the bay.
Their first show was last night at the River Café, on the Rio Cuale Island. The River Café is well known for serving gourmet food along with excellent live jazz, featuring artists such as Beverly and Willow and Willie and Lobo.
While the weather may not have been idyllic vacation weather, the misty rain and low hanging clouds was the perfect backdrop to Willie and Lobo's sexy flamenco sounds. There was electricity in the air, not from the summer rains overhead but from the energy Willie and Lobo brought to the stage.
In between sets, fans greeted and chatted with the musicians on stage, as well as thumbed through CD's available for purchase. All CD's purchased were graciously signed by the artists. Their recently released CD, Mańana was selling like hotcakes as well as their live album, Live in Concert.
Soon, the movie Puerto Vallarta Squeeze will be released, featuring music by Willie and Lobo, including the song "Puerto Vallarta Squeeze". The CD has already been released and is available at most music shops.
Willie and Lobo will play the next two nights at the River Café and will return there for three more nights after playing in their home area of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle at Papasito's on Friday June 27th. Their concert schedule while in the Vallarta area is available in the events section for more details.
