Casa Comunidad, a non profit community center, will host a 5k fun run and a 2.5k walk on Sunday, October 23 at El Tigre Golf Course in Nuevo Vallarta (north entrance).
Located in Punta de Mita, Nayarit, Casa Communidad (Community House) offers children a safe environment that teaches and encourages healthy habits, and ensures that their basic needs are met along with educational programs that supplement what they learn in school. Parents are encouraged to get involved with their children's learning.
The run will start at 9:00 a.m., followed by the walk at 10:00 a.m. Each participant in the run/walk is asked to collect pledges. Participants who raise more than $200 pesos will receive an event t-shirt. All proceeds will benefit Casa Communidad and their programs.
Registration will be held at El Tigre Athletic Club on from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thrusday, October 20, Friday, October 21, and Saturday, October 22, and Sunday, October 23 before the race. You may also register at Colegio Ameriano from 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Thrusday, October 20, and Friday, October 21.
