Julian is a Vallartan by adoption who has been known for the high artistic quality in his theater and in film projects. Last month, the city was shown his most recent work: Rose Carmine.
Born in the state of Zacatecas, as a child he quickly became familiar with the cinema industry because his family had a small cinema in which he and his brothers helped their father with the business, so he had the opportunity to watch many films. During his childhood and adolescence, and it was there his interest in filmmaking was born.
He completed his studies in engineering but never practiced in the field. Upon completion of his engineering degree, he studied the performing arts at the University of Guadalajara, at which time his life took a radical for turn for some years, some devoted to teaching diving here in Puerto Vallarta, but still no film projects.
"My daily life is very simple, I get up early for work - dive, and in the evenings I take classes in yoga, the rest of the day I do what I like, depending on the occasion."
He now has proposal for films in Mexico and the United States. Currently two of his films are playing around the world in film festivals, one film is of Arab origin, making it difficult to reach our country. Besides his movies, he has also acted in countless plays with renowned directors in the country.
"Puerto Vallarta has grown very fast. For those who live here, we have to get used to this change. I can't say for sure if I like the growth or not, before we could see the sea from the streets. Sometimes I have to leave but I always return to what I enjoy the most and gives joy: diving."
What he likes most about living in Puerto Vallarta is the sea. He had to move to Playa del Carmen for a while and liked the turquoise blue Caribbean, however, he is always impressed by the sound of the surf of the Pacific, with its wealth marine life and the friendliness of the people of Puerto Vallarta.
