The four countries playing the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2008 Qualifier CONCACAF Puerto Vallarta will round robin. The two teams that top the group after three matchdays qualify for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2008, which will be played from July 17 to 27 in Marseilles, France.

FINAL SCORE: Costa Rica 3 x 4 El Salvador (after extra-time)
El Salvador go second in the CONCACAF Qualifier after beating Costa Rica 3-4 in extra time. That means that the Azteca’s are now qualified for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2008 and the Salvadorians will have to wait for the outcome of the Mexico vs. USA game to know if they can start dreaming about the French Riviera.

The victors of last year’s edition were downed 2-1 by the new and rightful CONCACAF Champions Mexico. Over the past three days the Azteca’s dominated the competition and demonstrated why they were finalists at last year’s Copacabana showdown. This July they will travel to Marseille alongside El Salvador who make history by qualifying for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup for the first time in its history.

Our team deserved this win more then anything. This tournament has been a great success. We were stronger then we have ever been and we have to thank the people of Puerto Vallarta who supported us massively. I think there were 3000 people watching the game outside the stadium following the game on big screens. We just had to award them with a victory.
