The Romantic Zone

The Romantic Zone, so named for being the oldest area of this city. You will find a little bit of everything here: restaurants with all types of food, fun nightspots, galleries, stores, etc. Here is just a small sampling of the places you can enjoy when visiting this area of the city. The Pancake House  Serving Vallarta for 17 years, it has gained international recognition as one of the world’s best places for breakfast from the magazine “Living.” You’ll find all types of pancakes here, such as Kahlua, Hawaiian, orange, black forest (chocolate filled with strawberries), at $38 pesos. Or if you choose, they also have eggs cooked in different styles, chilaquiles, French toast and crepes, as well as other choices. Wellness  This relaxation center has been providing services for three years, always looking out for the wellbeing of their clients. They offer therapeutic massage services, including relaxation and sports, shiatsu, Reiki for energy management, and reflexology, as well as facials, manicures and pedicures. They always offer the best products for all types of skin care. Pie in the Sky  This is the ideal place to enjoy a good dessert, for the past three years named the best by Virtual Vallarta Reader’s Choice. Here you will find a large variety of cakes, pies, signature pastries and, of course, a comfortable place to enjoy a good coffee. Visit them and try the delights they offer.
Roxy  A great place, where rock rules in both Spanish and English. Here, you will find a quiet ambiance where you can enjoy a drink, dance to the live band, which plays several setds during the night, shoot a little pool or simply watch the people strolling through the area from their street-view window. Mañana  One of Vallarta’s largest Gay discothèques; here you can enjoy several themes in the same location: dance shows, stripper shows, international artists, swimming pool, open-air dancing, air-conditioned disco, lounge, daily cabana specials and many other events organized by the management. Visit Mañana, a happening place that welcomes anyone willing to have fun. Estancia San Carlos  A traditional place to check into when arriving in Vallarta, this inn is located right in the heart of the zone, making it easy to get to the downtown area. The nightly rate for double occupancy is $950 pesos, and a room for four persons is $1,350 pesos. The rooms are equipped with a kitchenette and all necessary kitchen equipment. Ecotours  An ecological and adventure tour operator since 1991, Ecotours strives to offer assorted options for people interested in a new and unique experience, but above all to those who are environmentally conscious and interested in learning about the places they visit. Mundo de Cristal  Part of a family business dedicated to the sale of rustic décor, here you will find a great variety of glass products: stemware, pitcher and cup sets, liquor containers, small glass horses, even stained glass. All are available in a variety of sizes, are hand painted, and all are made Mexican style. You can also find terra-cotta and ceramics from Guerrero.  |
