Summer Vacation

by Vallarta Online Staff | published: 5/17/2005

Bring the whole family for a vacation to remember.Summer is a great time to visit Puerto Vallarta.

Contrary to popular belief, rainy season does not mean it rains constantly. Rainy season (June/July until September/October) in Vallarta typically brings late afternoon showers to late night lightshows and cooling down pours.

Plenty of sunshine
The days are typically clear and bright and visibilty is excellent. Most mornings and afternoons are crystal clear and fresh and the mountains and jungles explore with green and color. You have hours upon hours to enjoy the pools and ocean with blue skies and tropical air. Of course, a nice siesta in the air conditioning is a delight, and by time you wake up and get ready for a late evening dinner, the rains have usually stopped.

The clouds build up mid day and there is a possibility of rain in the late afternoon. While everyone has different tastes, people who usually travel in the winter months and decided to try the summer season find they enjoy it just as much or more for many reasons. The jungles are incredibly lush and vividly green. There are less people, and everything is super relaxed and laid back, even more so than usual! And prices… prices can drop as much as 50-60% for accommodations, and many restaurants, bars and shops lower prices or have specials to bring in the people. Vallarta Online is also offering up to a 15% discount on all tours booked online. Golf deals are even better; save up to 32% on tee times at the Mayan Palace Golf Course. While Puerto Vallarta can be a bargain at any time of year, it can be a steal in the middle of summer.

For family vacations, many opt to head to one of the Disney Kingdoms. And while Vallarta doesn't have a catchy theme song or a great big castle, it does have plenty of charm and culture. Compare prices and temperatures and you will find Vallarta may be quite a bit less expensive and the temperature about the same… of course, we have a nice big ocean right here, and you won't need to rent a car!

If the thought of heat and humidity get you down, just remember this; a refreshing pool, cold drinks, freezing cold ice cream, crisp air conditioning, accompanied by a mid-day siesta and voila! You are cool as a cucumber the entire trip.
