Very nice course in great condition, with wonderful views. Would golf it again, glad we had early start time as the last few holes it did get warm. The Weiskopf course was challenging and a lot of fun.

Just played the Weiskopf course 3 times on our vacation. Would absolutely play it again when we revisit PV. I think I enjoyed it more than the Nicklaus course. But that's really splitting hairs! If you're an early riser like I am, get there at 7am or so and be the first one out. I played 2 rounds by myself as the sun came up in less than 2 1/2 hours. Peaceful and magnificent. Can't imagine how fast the greens are in the afternoon!! Waiting for next year....

Worth the trip at least for a twilight package. Twilight after 2pm and they close at 7pm. Golf shop is the most expensive I've been in ($100 golf shirts). Incredible views and colorful plants everywhere. Challenging but not impossible. Of the area, everyone says this is the best course and I can see why.

My opinion: better than the Nicklaus.

Able to play this side of the Vista Vallarta Courses in March of 07. Wow, sums everything up nicely. As usual, conditions are top notch throughout. But, the layout of this track is much better than the Nicklaus. There is more vegitation to contend with (playing from the tips), while hitting into angling fairways. As a result, hitting quality shots is a premium. Overall, a thinking mans course, which still allows you the opportunity to score, if you're in the right position. Greens fees are appropriate, but still a value. Especially if you get the rate associated with the condo/time-share results located in Puerto and Nuevo Vallarta (I was able to get on for $85 USD). Keep in mind that you're need to get a cart ($45 USD), so a caddie isn't really necessary. I'd come back to golf this course in a second..

Weiskopf as a course designer

This Weiskopf course has some nicely designed holes, but contrary to his normal design theories, he has deviated from his approach to a 'perfect' 18 holes. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely a course to play, but for $175.00.. too high for what we got. There were about 3 holes that were tricked up either because there wasn't enough land to do it right or for some other reason. I know Weiskopf's designs because I had him design a course for me.
