Boca de Tomatlan is a small sea-side village about 3 miles south of Mismaloya, and the La Jolla de Mismaloya Hotel.

Boca, in Spanish, means mouth, and Boca is at the mouth where the Tomatlan River flows into Banderas Bay.

You can spend the day here by taking a Blue and Green Mismaloya bus from the corner of Constitution and Basilio Badillo for under 5 pesos. Boca is also the last stop for a water taxi to Las Animas, Yelapa and Quimixto.
