Timeshare that does'nt care about all inclusive

10:45pm all inclusive is done, you have to purchase drinks ect. any time you do use the all inclusive there is a long wait for a receipt that you need to fill out with your bracelet number as well as you're spouses, you're room number, you're signature, then print you're full name. all inclusive is stated that all tips are included in you're package, then if you don't tip, don't hold you're breath
for the next service. sitting at the pool with the bracelets displayed you'll get old waiting for service, so after the 2 nd day we learned to cover them up with a towel or something, then tip the server and you are ok until tomorrow. 1 pot of coffe supplied the first day in the room, none to follow even with a gentle request. nicely kept older building, close to town and shopping. Been doing mexico all inclusives for 9 yearshave never been put off so much by any resort. a lessor resort the allegro by ratings by far exceeds this resort.

the staff was informative and helpful. Our rooms were clean and well equipped. Fresh towels available daily by the pool and in the rooms. We enjoyed dinner and entertainment on the beach one night, even hooking up with the local band who escorted us another night to Senior Frogs for a fun-filled, expensive evening.

Located in the Hotel Zone, it is just a short (and only 5 peso) bus ride to downtown, the Malecon, and many other places.

There is a supermarket called Gigante located across the main street, and they have great prices for stocking up your kitchen in your room. The food at the resort is good, but little variety -- many great restaurants in PVR to go to!

The rooms&grounds were immaculate! Overall I'd recommend this hotel, and would stay there again, but just wouldn't fall for the gold card.

Will return

I have been to Villa del Palmar several times and see no reason to stay anywhere else in town. I love the grounds of the hotel and find the staff very friendly and helpful.

One of the most beautiful resorts that I have been to. The grounds are immaculate and they work continuously to keep it that way.

Yes, you do get 'accosted' by the time share people when you check in, but that's one of the ways they can keep in business, too. I go to them for a few free things and the Gold Card does save you money when you are there.

The restaurants are great. Try the Jalisco and have the plates of the Mexican food. You won't be able to finish it but you'll want to!

I hope to return in either March or April next year for another relaxing time.

One thing you do have to do is take the booze cruise across the bay from the Marina to a small village named Quimixto. Some of the nicest and happiest people that I have ever met.

Beautiful! say no to time share and ur fine!

First trip to Vallarta, it was awesome, Villa del Palmar was beautiful and the wait staff was very nice to us even though we did not have a gold card. Despite us refusing the time share presentation, the employees did treat us nicely and we found our 1 bedroom suite to be very spacious and comfy for 4 adults. The ac was very strong and room was in great condition, cleaned daily. Absolutely beautiful grounds and location! Just jump on a blue bus for $0.50 and go downtown. From shower to TV and kitchenette we were very satisfied!

We recently stayed one week from 7-14 to 7-21.
The first unit given us was in a very run down condition. Actually the room was a nightmare and not at all like the one bedroom shown on their web site.
After complaining they gave us a much nicer one bedroom.
We paid for the all-inclusive and found it to worth the money. The food and drinks were good.
The resort is very clean and the grounds are beautiful.

Great Time

We have been going to Puerto Vallarta for the last 5 years. We always enjoy ourselves. We do own a time share with Villa del Palmar. Next time you plan to visit PV give this Hotel a try. You won't be sorry.

Never Again!

I was extremely dissapointed in this hotel and will never stay there again! The front desk people were grumpy and rude. Not to mention you are accosted the minute you check in by time share people. I new the drill and declined to sit and meet with them for the "helpful" information about the hotel. As soon as I declined and forfeited the gold member status I felt that I was labeled as someone who did not need any customer service for the rest of the trip.

The last two nights of our stay we were joined by about 200 teenagers from the University of Guadalajara. They ran the halls until 4am yelling, pounding on doors and prank calling all of the other guests. I was not happy when my phone rang at 4am. We called security about 5 times and they were not concerned with the issue at all! We had no sleep the last two nights of our stay.

I would not reccomend this hotel. The Villa Del Palmar has a lot to learn about how to treat their guests. I guess since they are time shares they feel there is no reason to offer good customer service.

The staff is accomidating, just treat them as you would like to be treated. The rooms are of a great size- everyone can spread out. There is always an activity going on to interest you, at all ages. Areobics, spa treatment, gym, games, driking, dancing, food, etc... Easy, easy commute on the bus to downtown at 50cents American, and if you really need to, the cab is only $4 American.
