Sheraton Buganvilias Resort Category Gran Turismo

I JUST LOVE THIS HOTEL, I ALWAYS FEEL WELCOME AND AT HOME,THE ROOMS ARE AWESOME, THE FOOD IS UNBELIEVABLY GOOD, THE SERVICE IS UNBEATABLE. I'VE BEEN GOING THERE FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS. I'VE STAYED IN THE MAIN HOTEL AND THE TIME SHARES AND ALWAYS FEEL EXHILERATED JUST WALKING INTO THE LOBBY.

My husband and I spent 2 weeks in Puerto Vallarta and always find the time late November before Christmas rush a good time.

We have been before a few times and love it

as I can run around the park across the street-got to pick up the english paper"The new"s from a local vendor for less then hotel and my husband walked daily to the marina and back to see the ships that we could see from our balcony come in to port.

Ernesto at the front desk was most helpful and

we loved our room on the 18th floor.

We shopped at the local

"Gigante" for our cereals and fruit and yogurt.-

sure get a lot more groceries for the price.

We found Casa Blake's sports Bar ,that has been oped about 1 year and Mike Blake is a gracious hot ,has many t.v.'s , for all canadians and americans with either football or hockey-he is from Abbotsford and has established a real nice sports bar now and we were able to watch the canucks win a few games via satellite.-the food was great.!!

The festival of "our Lady of Guadaloupe " was from Dec 1st to 12th and is special to see with coustomes and such.

The church is in the center of town and I did visit to say a christmas prayerand met alovely family of mom and two children.

I would shop in old downtown and got to know many patrons and see the old friends from a few years ago.

Please don't be afraid of walking around Puerto Vallarta and do be respectful and curteous as they are.

The timeshare thing is annoying at times but it is a part of the livelhood.

The buses are 5 pesos and are fun. a little mexican boy got up to give me his seat in his school uniform as they go at different times of the day.I thanked him and said I was fine"

-now if that occured more in our own ciites !!

We had been before and the money was only five,xi or eight pesos to the dollar so we were pleased to see it was 10.5 to $1.00-could be a bit less now.Please try to use their currency-easy to find at the money exchange places and just watch for the price.

The internet is far too expensive at the resort and my husband found a place under the Gigante market that was very reasonable. also don't buy water their -get at local stores .

The sheraton buganvillas resort has a lovely place for book exchange so like me, as I read a book I bought it to the reading room at the Daycare center and took another.-why waste books!!!

The free Tribune comes weekly to the hotel and is full of information.

I contributed for Christmas to a few of the local charities and felt very good.!!

Our housekeepers were lovely and I learned a bit of more spanish and they learned some English. Staff very helpful.!!!

Tipping we always do and I was amazed to learn from some people that they do not tip at all in inclusives,(some people think everything is free!!(this is not an all inclusive..1

Try the mexican sho store "Flexi" I always buy shoes their.

Needless to say the little community has grown a,and a lot of people like it because of the community and nice feeling.

There should be an international rule that prohibits the Hotels to sell you a room without telling you they're under construction. I reserved a room and there were workers all over the place and some of the elevators didnt work so I had to walk across 3 buildings each and every time. I dont recommend it, the only service i liked was the spa. The guy from the towels was really rude and there were also a couple of sales men chasing the guests to sell time share.

My family just got back from Buganvilias Resort, we stayed in a time share room. It was our first time going to Mexico for a Vacation. THe pool, people and lunches were great! Dinners and room service were terrible. The club sandwich at lunch was great though,go to town and enjoy the restaurant's!!! Breakfast at the hotel buffet was too expensive and the food was cold and seemed old and not sanitary. The poolside drinks and snacks are really good, the nachos are great! Water aerobic was fun at noon every day. All in all I would go again, however I would eat out for breakfast and dinner.

I first traveled to Puerto Vallarta in 1970. I returned on my honeymoon in 1973. I did not return again until 1998 for my 25th wedding anniversary. The Sheraton allows an intelligent visitor the opportunity to explore Puerto Vallarta (a beautiful town) without the need of guides. You can walk to "old town" or take the bus for 6 pesos each. You can be a norte americana without being a tourista. If you really want to see "old mexico" rather than the plasticized version in Nueva Vallarta this is the place to come. The accomodations are extremely nice and the staff could not be nicer. They are friendly, respectful, and certainly non-obsequious. I highly recommend this resort for those of you who wish to actually experience Mexico, and feel very safe while you are doing it!

I own two timeshares there and love it. The grounds are impecably clean and well manicured. Some rooms do need a little refurbishing which they are slowly doing.The staff is always helpful and attentive.Poolside service is always there for you. Swim up bar is fun to have.There a few little grocies store on the grounds as well as music, food, entertainment, computer room, spa facilites and more. Overall a great place with a location that cannot be beat.

I own a time share and spend 3 weeks each year at the Buganville. I also travel to France, Spain, Switzerland and Italy for approx 12 weeks per year. While at the Buganville I have Never seen a single request from anyone to the staff that was not taken care of in a professional manner. Considering the time I have spent at this resort, this is quite an accomplishement. The Sheraton has it all. Simply Outstanding in all aspects.

I was at the Sheraton a couple weeks ago, and i just had the most wonderful experience!!!! Simply the best!!! Couldnt be better. Best location Best design Best decoration Best food Excellent crew!

Altough we did not get the type of room we had requested, overall, our stay at the Sheraton was Great!!!!!!! The view from our room was beautiful, the food at their new restraunt "Gaviotas" was delicious, and the workers were extremely friendly.

key word is hospitality at this hotel, every single worker makes your vacation enjoyable and are very accomidating. i would recomend this hotel to everyone
