Our tripRated:![]() by Brig from canada Written 1 year ago | It was awsome. Our first time there and if you like to party, shop, sight see, interact with locals and tourists, this is definately the place. Thank goodness we didn't book a far off place with nothing to do. This is a shopping persons dream. The side store owners will bargain with you, be nice to people and you get it back in return. We found the locals there to be very friendly and have a good sence of humour, (as they need one), inordor to put up with us "all inclusive" partiers. I'm no spring chicken, but man, did we have fun. The hotel itself is very clean, rooms aren't great, but the staff is very friendly and very clean. Location, THE BEST, at the foot of the only pier on the beach is sweet! I totally recommend this hotel. Even though it's a zoo out there, the rooms and hotel itself is very quiet. We will go back. |
San Marino Hotel in Zona RomanticaRated:![]() by Mel from Canada Written 1 year ago | It is an average hotel, but location is excellent. Hotel staff were very nice, friendly, cheerful and helpful all the time. Food is ok.. but you don't need to stay and eat at the hotel everyday/night. Zona romantica has lots of dining out options... Cheap and very very tasty. Beach is beautiful. Malecon is just a walk away. What else do you expect? |

San Marino.....THUMBS UP!Rated:![]() by shelly brewster from canada Written 2 years ago | The San Marino has the BEST location of any Hotel in Puerto Vallarta! The staff are VERY friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. Food could use some improving, but not a problem
as the Rates at the hotel are SO REASONABLE that you could afford to go out and try the 100's of eating places in the Romantic Zone. I would stay there again and again! |
Great Locationby brian from CanadaWritten 2 years ago | This hotel is in a perfect location to the cafes on Olas Altas, right on the beach, all the gay clubs, and the Malecon. There are two pools, one where the kids are, and the other for adults only. It's clean and comfortable with very friendly staff. If you take a standard room, ask for Street view (they have balconies). Otherwise you look into a courtyard and have no balcony. Upgrade at check-in (or book it ahead) to Ocean view (something like $20.00 per night more), it's worth it! |
for first vacationRated:![]() by lisa souliere from canada Written 2 years ago | this was my first trip to puerto vallarta at san marinos,, one thing i could tell it was very clean, inside and outside resort the only issue i have was very noisy motel from wich taxi driver beeping horn night and day,, the hotel itseld his located on a very buisy street so if u are planning on having agood night sleep good luck,, also the beach is for everyone in the resort and outside the resort so if u wanth a spot on beach,, get up early around 9h00 am or else sorry no place for you to sit,, also food wasnt too bad somedays very good and some other days very salty,, also one thing i would like to adivse you is when you bood at san marinos and it is all inclusif,, well only at meal time wich means if between meals you are hungry,, nothing to eat you will have to walk to corner store,, when i mean nothing in between meals i mean nothing no fruit, no salad only beverage at bar and this is when bartender is there wich often he close the bar if not enough buisy,, it is not a place i would go back since like i sd no activity at all except for bingo every second day, and volley ball if you wanth activities you have got to go out of resort from wich it will coset you at least 100$ per activity per person,, so believe me i am not a person who complains, this comes from a 37 year old woman from wich it was my first vacation with boyfriend and like i sd make sure if you reserve a all inclusive make sure they are food between all meals especially if u are going with children,,,, |
Will be back to the San Marino for sure!!Rated:![]() by Mandy from Canada Written 2 years ago | We just returned from the San Marino Hotel in Puerto Vallarta. We had an exceptionally good time, staff was WONDERFUL! Very hard working, will bend over backwards for you, honestly. Very clean rooms with nice maids. Good beach, lots to do, great bartenders and servers!! Lots of drinks, and not watered down! If you are nice to the staff, they will be nice to you, guaranteed! I would definately reccomend this hotel, especially for young couples and older ones too as long as they come with an open mind and take into consideration that it is Mexico and just their lifestyle in general is different than ours. I have no complaints. Not too busy, which is nice, but certainly not dead either. Close to anything you need in town, no taxies required. Come and see for yourself how wonderful the staff and the hotel is! |
The best place ever!Rated:![]() by Sabina (15 yrs old/female) from Canada Written 2 years ago | Hey. Okay well the san marino hotel is like the best! The rooms were old, but pretty clean and you can upgrade if you dont like your room (you have to do it there). The location is awesome! All the people are extremely friendly and they always smile at me and compliment my looks :P The food was alright, and there was always a lot of things to choose from. The hotel is in a great spot and you can do a lot of shopping because its close to a lot of stores and like boutiques. When you go to the beach a lot of people try to sell you things, and it can get a little annoying if you're just trying to relax for a little while. The staff works really hard at making your stay the most enjoyable it can be, and they deserve wayy more than they get. All in all, the san marino hotel is worth staying at and its a great place to be :] (oh and the pool staff (pool boys) work really hard at making it fun and relaxing, they always have something for us to do and always try to play some music (sometimes though the people didnt let them i guess) its a great place! i was actually sad when we were leaving, i didnt want to go) |
Location, Location, LocationRated:![]() by Mark from Edmonton, Ab Written 2 years ago | Would recommend for everything except the food. Great location, Great price, Great service. Rooms were simple but clean (all I want). The omelet's at breakfast were the only thing I would recommend. Lunch and supper were simply awful, tried them twice. Save your $120-150/wk for all inclusive upgrade, and eat at some of Vallarta's best restaurant's a block or two, walk from the San Marino.
Will be back, with out the All Inclusive. |
I will never come back!by jen from usWritten 2 years ago | Our room was dark, dirty and uncomfortable. We were woken up by super loud crappy music every morning at 9am which played until about 9pm. Forget about sleeping in or a luxurious, well deserved vacation nap! I can't stress enough what a terrible hotel this is. My friend and I had hotel envy with just about every other hotel we saw. San Marino was absolutely the worst in town!!!! For the price you can do much, much better. |
