what a timeRated:![]() by art and tami from canada Written 3 months ago | What can i say it was a great stay in pv. The fishing was good. We enjoyed the people the most. Loved going for walks after seven pm. I never had a bad cup of java. We upgraded to a nicer room for 20 usd a night, The room was big and clean and it was on the top floor over looking the ocean. The staff was fun and helpful. |
MarleneRated:![]() by Marlene from Canada Written 4 months ago | Just got back from a two week vacation at San Marino and for the price, we were very pleased that we had chosen this hotel. The food was good., service and friendliness was wonderful and the rooms were clean&the location was excellent!
I would recommend it highly to anyone who is not expecting or wanting a 5* hotel. |
January 2008 visit to Puerto Vallartaby Diane and Earl from CanadaWritten 5 months ago | We booked a last minute vacation to Puerto Vallarta (booked 3 days in advance) and were pleasantly surprised by the San Marino hotel. It was our first trip to PV but will not be our last. The hotel is in a perfect location, the staff is very friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are undergoing updates and are showing some wear but were very clean and comfortable (we did get used to the hard beds too!). Breakfast and lunches were always good. We ate at the hotel on some occasions for dinner but also tried some of the local restaurants. Everyone we met was from Canada (except the staff) -- made us feel at home. We will be back. |
Another great stay.Rated:![]() by David Sherwood from Canada Written 5 months ago | Just back from a week in Heaven. Weather was great ...beds as hard as I remember from 2004.
Asked for extra pillows and mattress foam... delivered almost immediately. The extra pillows we purchased at Walmart and left for friends came in handy. Always something to eat on Buffet....the Omelette Lady always made us proud. Glad to see the place is being looked after...rooms appear to be going through a series of updates...not to the speed we are used to but we toured many rooms and we look forward to a Beachfront room next stay. We seemed to be the only ones enjoying the water in the beachfront pool....a little cool for some folk I guess. Soft cushions on the loungers were a pleasant surprise....lets work on that soft cu sh for the beds in our rooms. Overall I had a great stay....my two friends first trip to Mexico enjoyed their stay as well. Great staff...got what we paid for....see ya next year. Burlington Bears, David, Michael&Phillip |
Our tripRated:![]() by Brig from canada Written 5 months ago | It was awsome. Our first time there and if you like to party, shop, sight see, interact with locals and tourists, this is definately the place. Thank goodness we didn't book a far off place with nothing to do. This is a shopping persons dream. The side store owners will bargain with you, be nice to people and you get it back in return. We found the locals there to be very friendly and have a good sence of humour, (as they need one), inordor to put up with us "all inclusive" partiers. I'm no spring chicken, but man, did we have fun. The hotel itself is very clean, rooms aren't great, but the staff is very friendly and very clean. Location, THE BEST, at the foot of the only pier on the beach is sweet! I totally recommend this hotel. Even though it's a zoo out there, the rooms and hotel itself is very quiet. We will go back. |
San Marino Hotel in Zona RomanticaRated:![]() by Mel from Canada Written 6 months ago | It is an average hotel, but location is excellent. Hotel staff were very nice, friendly, cheerful and helpful all the time. Food is ok.. but you don't need to stay and eat at the hotel everyday/night. Zona romantica has lots of dining out options... Cheap and very very tasty. Beach is beautiful. Malecon is just a walk away. What else do you expect? |

San Marino.....THUMBS UP!Rated:![]() by shelly brewster from canada Written 10 months ago | The San Marino has the BEST location of any Hotel in Puerto Vallarta! The staff are VERY friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. Food could use some improving, but not a problem
as the Rates at the hotel are SO REASONABLE that you could afford to go out and try the 100's of eating places in the Romantic Zone. I would stay there again and again! |
Great Locationby brian from CanadaWritten 10 months ago | This hotel is in a perfect location to the cafes on Olas Altas, right on the beach, all the gay clubs, and the Malecon. There are two pools, one where the kids are, and the other for adults only. It's clean and comfortable with very friendly staff. If you take a standard room, ask for Street view (they have balconies). Otherwise you look into a courtyard and have no balcony. Upgrade at check-in (or book it ahead) to Ocean view (something like $20.00 per night more), it's worth it! |
