really noisyRated:![]() by Kelly from united states Written 5 months ago | My husband and I stayed here back in December 2005. We chose this resort because it appeared "high end" and it was adults only. We saved up lots of money and got a master suite.
The room was gorgeous. However at night it was extremely noisy. The master suites are on the same side as the buenaventura. The bars at the buenaventura were open until 2:00am and full of noisy drunks every night. It was hard to try and go sleep or relax on our veranda jacuzzi without having to listen to that noise. We attempted to talk to the villa premier front desk and buenaventura and they said there was nothing that could be done about the noise (even though the villa is owned by the same people who own the buenaventura). It was such a disappointment that we had to deal with that. It certainly affected the mood of what was supposed to be a romantic, luxuruios, relaxing vacation. Also, there were a few mornings at the villa where the tiles around the pool were being repaired. 7:30 am until about noon we could hear the loud annoying clink, clink, clink from the pounding on the cement. This resorts needs to be plucked out of it's spot and put somewhere quiet. Beware - it's right on the noisy strip of resorts that are designated family- party type resorts. Plus, the beaches are public so there was always someone every 10 minutes or so coming up to us - trying to sell us something while we laid on the beach. Also, because of the free alcohol, be prepared to listen to loud noisy drunks on occasion around the pool or bar. I guess that just comes with the territory of an all inclusive resort regardless of how much you spend. |
AwesomeRated:![]() by Oscar Stiles from US Written 11 months ago | My wife and I stayed here for our trip to PV. The service was first class. The staff was very helpful and courteous, and the amenaties were very nice. The Spa was excellent as were their staff. We each had a full body massage that just earased all tension.
We only ate breakfast as we wanted to enjoy other restauraunts, but it was done very well nonetheless. The staff also remembered that I asked for fresh salsa our first morning there (a special request as they only had pico de gallo on the table) and proceeded to bring it out every morning with my breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel for its service, ammenaties and especially it's location. It was only 5 blocks to the malecón, an easy walk for us. |
FantasticRated:![]() by katie from USA Written 1 year ago | I surprised my husband with the trip for his 40th in Dec. and Anna the conceirge was outstanding. She communiated with me before the trip by email to make sure we planned for the surprise. She set up a private dinner on the beach, decorated our room - they are all fantastic.
Do the all inclusive, no braclets or separate lines for "inclusives" - the place is small but amazing - we will go back for sure, also, the place is so fantastic, people we met go there every year. We were very pleased and it is also close to authentic restaurants and you can walk downtown by way of beach or street. |
