Great VacationRated:![]() by Jim Wold from USA Written 2 years ago | Three years in a row and planning on going in August of 2008. The people there are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are just what we needed. The food is very good but the grilled snapper was fabulous! See you in August.

Mr. S. J. CosimanoRated:![]() by S. J. Cosimano III from USA Written 2 years ago | Breakfast in Hotel restaurant was good. Staff very helpful. We had a great week. Make sure you explore the area. I would recommend against the meal package. Lots of good restaurants in the area. |
Playa Los arcos visitorby kathy Reynolds from USAWritten 2 years ago | We just got back from there and we Loved it. The location is excellent and the place was more than adaquate and clean. The people were exceptional. I highly reommend it. We had a superior room. I would not go down from that. In Fact next time we would get a suite. Great place to stay. Clean pools and steps from the beach |
Highly RecommendedRated:![]() by Barb and Rick from USA Written 2 years ago | We only stayed three nights but would definitely stay again. The regular rooms are a bit small and the bathrooms tiny, but very clean. Only complaint was our room was on the street side (view to the pool) and the street and restaurants are noisy. So, at check in ask for a room away from the street.
Did not do the all inclusive, there are so many good and inexpensive restaurants nearby (four on the same block) didn't see the point. |
HueroRated:![]() by Mike from USA Written 2 years ago | I found this hotel to be every thing a "real Mexican" hotel should be, quaint, simple, clean, close to the beach,&pier. I made many friends here, and have been back many times. The diving is good, as well as the fishing, nightlife, and of course the beach. I experienced only professional people on the hotel staff; everything was close by, and not to modern or "plastically pretentious". Depending on how stuffy you are, I recommend anyone try this place, not many like this anymore..... |
retired personby Randi Russell from USaWritten 2 years ago | I've loved this place since '82 when there were no phones or TV's. If you want colonial Mexico, this is the place. Food is good, especially breakfast buffet. There are so many great restaurants nearby. Service here is extraordinary if you treat the staff in kind. I've never been disappointed in 24 years and lan a trip back in April, 2007. Waitstaff, maid service and reception are wonderful. It's our home away from home! |
Richard From Slatington PA USARated:![]() by Richard Gemmel (1 comment) ![]() from United States Written 2 years ago | We have stayed at Playa Los Arcos, for the last 3 years. The hotel has a great location in the Romantic Zone. We took the "all inclusive plan". The Wait Staff went out of their way to cater to all of our needs, as well as did the people at the front desk. We did have a slight problem with room service, but after a complaint to Eric at the front desk, our problem was resolved. The pools were clean, the public rest romms were immaculate, as was our room. We had a room on the second floor, with a nice balcony. The room was spaceous, as was the bathroom. The maid must be commened for her humor. When our beds were made, she had taken a towel, and made a little animal out of it and put it on the bed. We enjoyed seeing different ones every day. Back to the dining room, the buffet had great choices, for breakfast, and dinner. We didn't eat lunch, since there were so many great restaurants, right around the corner. There is an entrance from the beach, and one can get onto the Malecon Board Walk, and have a nice walk down to the main square. Cafe Maximilian, is located in the hotel, and has an excellent menu. One thing the hotel lacks, is a botique/shop, were one can buy such items like newspapers, magazines, and personal needs. The hotel charges for all phone calls. This includes ones made to confirm flights. There is also a charge for the botteled water, in the rooms. We found a little family store, round the corner, where it can be bought for less. Check in is easy, with no hassles. The hotel has live entertainment, with is subdued. If your looking for wild night life, you won't find it in this hotel. However, we found a great place, just up the street that did. We are returning to Vallarta in January 2007, and are staying in the same room we had in 2006. Another note, the food has improved since our first stay. You really can have a great time in Puerto Vallarta. This hotel is inexpensive, and will fulfill your needs. Playa Los Arcos, gives it's guests, much more, for a lot less. So stay and enjoy. Richard from Slatington Pennsylvania |
had to leaveRated:![]() by sacks from usa Written 3 years ago | We checked in and I was so dissapointed I almost cried. I guess it was my fault, because I was looking for something a little more luxury. It was a basic room that smelled and was musty. The pool was small, and nothing all that great. The beach was full of trash. For just a little more money we went up to another hotel with better service. |
A great value for your pesosRated:![]() by Bert Veening from Netherlands Written 3 years ago | We stayed at Playa Los Arcos during Thanksgiving week. We had a great time. The rooms aren’t very large, but they were kept immaculately clean by a friendly maid. At the beginning of our stay we tipped her a few bucks and that paid of. Every day clean towels, from one of which she folded a different animal every day. The greatest asset of this hotel is its location. Olas Altas in front and the beach in the back (with beautiful pools in between). Every day fresh towels to take out on the beach, friendly staff at the reception, no complaints. And last but not least...it’s really cheap. |
