Mayan Palace Category Gran Turismo

I'm not quite sure why mine is the extreme opposite of everyone elses, but I thought the place was fantastic. Very clean, and staff helpful. Concierge was very professional, and all events were fantastic.

Was asked to come see new hotel. Was not told there was a presentation but would give us taxi there and back and treat us to breakfast to make resort known to us and our friends. Once there asked if we had a travel mgroup and when found out we were with Royal gave us the runaround for an hour. Said at least look over resort and have breakfast. When in restuarant waiter wanted money up front. Had 2 orange juice and one coffee for $15.oo us. Had to get our own cab back for another $15.oo as we didn't do presentation. Staff was pushy and very nasty at end. Hotel was practically empty and the way they treat people it is no wonder. Would advise everyone to stay away and tell everyone they know. I will advise my two travel club newsletters to warn people. They don't know the meaning of service industry. STAY AWAY.....BEWARE

This place is definitely not for everyone. Anticipate shelling out $$$ for anything. And the service is quite appalling! There are much better locations along the beach. I would never recommend spending your money here.

This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever seen. There where cum stains on our mattress and they refused to change the sheets!! I will never stay here again. On top of everything we couldn't walk 100 feet without some scam artist asking us to join a time share.
