Perhaps this place is o.k. if you're not



1] overly fussy about food,

2] are *not* a single parent



This place will stick forever in my mind as the worst holiday spoiler one could imagine!



Being a single parent, I was hassled by hotel staff as nobody could ever imagine. Perhaps it's unknown in Mexico to take kids with you on vacation by yourself - in Mexico you get immediately suspected as either kidnapper or childmolester!



This is one dispicable place to take kids to - back in USA I would have suit their pants off for harassement and intrusion of privacy - single parents: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn 2 years ago and I still tell people about what a great time we had. It was our first trip to Mexico - a bit of a honeymoon for us and it was everything we had hoped for! The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The girl at the information desk was very nice and friendly, she always talked to us and greeted us be name when we saw her. The food was good as well, although I did feel a bit sick a couple of nights, but nothing that I couldn't fix with a little Pepto Bismol! All in all, I would and do recommend this resort to any and all of my friends.

We had a great time in Puerto Vallarta! It was a fun girl’s vacation including my Mom, Aunt, Sister and myself. We went the last week of February and stayed for one week and were able to do different activities without feeling rushed for time and also fit in plenty of relaxation. The Holiday Inn was nice, I really liked the location of the Holiday Inn, it was very close to Starbucks and the Marina and Walmart were only a 10 minute walk away. The only bad thing is that they were building a new hotel next door so there was construction noise during the day. But it didn’t hinder our vacation or ability to relax. The hotel is right on the bus system which was super easy to use and was quite an experience all in itself. Of all of the adventures we did the two excursions I highly recommend are the Pirate Ship and Whale watching/snorkeling (if you go during whale season) on the sail boat, don’t go by motor boat. Our rooms were a little smelly until we turned off the air conditioning and left the patio doors open. They were very spacious and had a little kitchen area, but the sink didn’t work. We really didn’t spend a whole lot of time in the rooms so these things didn’t matter. The rest of the hotel was great, very clean. Security was highly visible and made it feel extremely safe. All of the staff was pleasant and helpful with any of our needs. The only two complaints I had were that the stores had very odd hours and you never knew if they would be open or not and they allowed timeshare people right at the base of the elevators. The pool area was awesome, they played music in the late morning/early afternoon and had activities for adults to join in which made it fun, even if you didn’t join the activities it was a lot of fun to watch and made it feel very festive. They had clean towels for you every day that were always warm. I don’t know if I would bring young kids to this particular hotel as it didn’t seem like there was a lot for them. We did the all inclusive which is definitely the way to go. The drinks were a little watered down, but when you start at 11:00am you appreciate the less potent drinks and there were no drunk and unruly people around. The buffet was a good example of Americanized Mexican, not TexMex like you would find in the States. I still miss all the fresh fruit and very different style of foods. To get the full benefit of all-inclusive I would highly recommend making reservations at the other two restaurants they have. Both were exquisite experiences. I do wish there was more entertainment at night. They only had a little show and if you wanted more you would have to go to one of the local clubs. All in all, I would visit the Holiday Inn again. I think it was right down the middle with better hotels out there, but I know there are a lot worse.

The vacation we took was great. We spent 2 weeks there and we all enjoyed it. The pool and ocean were great and we were barely ever in our room except for at night so it really didnt matter, beds were hard and what do you expect, showers were good, food was Mexican and American, although it wasnt the best but we were having alot of fun at the beach and doing other things outside, i would rate this vacation a 4. I totally reccomend it.

I have stayed in this hotel and it is of average to good quality. There all inclusive price has gone through the roof and it makes it a very por value.

I am going back to this hotel for the 2nd time in about a month. This hotel is great. I loved just having to walk down the beach and shopping was right there, and towels are always provided. The beach and everything in the hotel is kept very clean. I would recommend this hotel for everyone of every age.

I love this Mexican resort and think it is the perfect way to relax! Especially when you have had a massage on the beach. When we arrived there late at night the chefs in the buffet whipped up new salsa just for us and did everything possible to make our stay a happy one. I think people who don't enjoy there stay are generally unhappy with life so ignore them!
