Best place ever!Rated:![]() by melissa from canada Written 9 months ago | This was my first trip to Mexico and went with my boyfriend. From the moment I stepped off the bus the staff was so friendly. The best experience ever. The best part of the trip was how the staff gave so much attention to our needs. The service was amazing, we would never get treated like this back home.
The hotel room was very big and had a wonderful, view of the ocean. It was so sad to leave. I would recommend this hotel to everyone I know. Best of all was the staff!!!! |
Happy Holiday at the Hola HotelRated:![]() by Janet&Tom from Calgary, Canada Written 9 months ago | This trip I booked last minute for my husband and myself, a spur of the moment decision when I saw the price posted, then I was horrified that I had made a wrong decision when I read some of the reviews, but it was too late to make any changes, I had already paid.
We have just returned a couple of days ago and we did not want to leave, it was GREAT! I have come to realise that a holiday is what you make it, go with an open mind and a friendly smile, after all its got to be better than working. The rooms were spacious and clean and all with a great ocean view, the service was top class, the location was super, it was easy to get anywhere cheaply and quickly. We made lots of friends and it was like one big happy family as we all teamed up together and had an absolute ball. The food was good enough but after many days it got a little boring but it was still ok, there was always something for everyone. We have stayed before at other hotels and all buffet food gets to be boring after a while. This hotel was very personalable, clean and friendly and we had a fantastic holiday, we will definately stay at the Hola hotel again. The staff treated us like Kings and Queens. |
Had a great timeRated:![]() by R. Keith Williams from Canada Written 10 months ago | The wife and I had a great time while staying at the Hola in May 2007. We stayed for 2 weeks and had nothing but a good time. Service was excellent as we did befriend 1 special employee which we will not name, however this person took execellent care of all our needs. We are presently planning a trip back in November 2007 for 1 week. I would recommend this hotel, go and have a good time but remember you're not in your own country. |
LeeRated:![]() by Lee McGraw from usa Written 10 months ago | I have been to this hotel 4 times this year (2007) and will return atleast once more this year...need I say more? |
Not the greatest....Rated:![]() by Jaime from USA Written 1 year ago | Got tired of the same food and it would sometimes be cold. Not all the restaurants were open since it is their "off season" so we had to eat at the same buffets every day. And they basically had the same food. Beds are hard and there was no ceiling fan like the website posts. The view though was Great! The rooms were good and kept clean-except we had a toilet that leaked all over the bathroom. Very close to different activities and downtown. And the beach vendors didn't stay behind the ropes. They would constantly pester you especially when you just get out of the ocean, trying to relax on the beach, or even while eating! |
Great ExperienceRated:![]() by *** from Canada Written 1 year ago | *Staff were amazing. Friendly, helpful, eager to serve.
*Rooms were clean. Accomodated our request for adjoining rooms. *Enjoyed the variety of options for meals. *Thrilled with the whole experience. *Excellent beach area. Well groomed. Very few jelly fish. *Close to marina and shopping *Highly recommend this as a holiday choice. |
I loved it!Rated:![]() by Jessica from Usa Written 1 year ago | I was there in May for one week and i had the time of my life. The staff was so awesome and helped us with everything. The food was good too! I want to go back again next year! |
The worst nightmare everRated:![]() by bob from Mexico Written 1 year ago | This hotel suck. Is really horrible. We had to leave and pay for other resort. |
It's not a vacation, it's like prison that you pay for.Rated:![]() by Anthony Tietyen from United States Written 1 year ago | From the Cheap Caribbean Web Site I have included a short list of amenities that are listed at Hola Puerto Vallarta (I was thrilled to say adios!) And what was not included:
4 Restaurants: There was usually one buffet set around the pool and one in the Villa Room. The only restaurant there, some kind of Italian restaurant, was “never” once opened during our week long stay. The food took the appearance of being re-used. As the days passed, the scrambled eggs became grayer and grayer. Full-Service Health Spa: This was not offered to us by the Hotel. Fitness Equipment: This was not offered to us by the Hotel. 2 Bars/Lounges: No one small juice bar/ beer bar in the lobby, basically. The other one outside by the pool could only be accessed by waiters that would usually ignore or conveniently forget requests. Activities/Tours Assistance: This office offered tours for a fee that was dominated by spending most of the time at various over-priced venders. Aerobics: This was not offered to us by the Hotel. Audio-Visual Equipment ($): This was not offered to us by the Hotel. Health Club: This was not offered to us by the Hotel. Multilingual Staff: This only occurred when it was convenient or when a generous tip was involved. Be careful tipping when you tip too much, the next time they expect more for the most basic requests. Poolside Bar Porter/Bellhop: This only occurred when it was convenient or when a generous tip was involved. Room Service ($): This was not offered to us by the Hotel. Swimming Pool: This pool (cesspool) was filthy, hazy, and containing particulate matter. Yoga: This was not offered to us by the Hotel. From what I witnessed firsthand, the "resort" was dominated by actual Mexican tourists. The American tourists for the most part used no Spanish at all and made almost no attempts to do so. I feel that my constant attempts to use what Spanish I knew only annoyed the staff and brought on rudeness and poorer service. However, I didn't realize that until four or more days had elapsed. I would have confronted the hotel directly and in person but I feared for my returning home safely. If I was not able to even purchase a stamp or find a post office how could I reach the U.S. Consular Agency for protection? do not visit this establishment |
Hated to say Adios to Hola!Rated:![]() by Brenda from Mexico Written 1 year ago | Absolutely no complaints about the food. Of course not five star but fresh, tasty and hot food was hot, cold food was cold. We loved our room, the view, the bed was hard but I am used to that but we had nice pillows and the A/C was awesome. The beach was nice, the loungers there had great cushions, service was EXCELLENT but we also tipped everyone, chatted with them and had a great time. We had no complaints, while of course there is no great nightlife there, we were not looking for it plus all of the good nightlife is downtown, a five peso or 40 peso taxi ride away. I would go back:) Especially at these prices! |
