We love Eloisa!

This is my 6th stay at Hotel Eloisa and we are already planning our next one! It's always nice to arrive and see the same friendly faces year after year. Although we have really never had any interaction with the manager she is lucky to have such a fine staff to represent Eloisa. They have each made our stay a good one, from Lili bringing in her hairdryer for me to use for my stay to Raul taking care of our laundry to Veronica contacting a local friend and setting up dinner plans to Pepe and Hector being on night watch and making sure we got to our rooms safely. We love everyone at Eloisa and always look forward to arriving. I'm so glad there are so many wonderful reviews here.

I agree with pp who suggest booking an outside room vs an interior and even better if you are lucky enough to book a suite. Sleep with your bathroom door closed so you are not disturbed by other guests (noise travels through the "vents" in the bathrooms).

You are in the best part of town, enjoy your stay and make sure to visit Burros Bar, Andales, Paris Cafe, Cafe de Olla, Fajita Republic, Mama Delores, Archies Wok, La Tia Catrina, La Tia, Taste of Italy and many of the other wonderful restaurants in the area..you are spoiled with all of the places around.

Cheers!

A half block from the beach and at the end of Olas Altas. The Eloisa is clean, basic and comfortable with 2 pools. You would be best off requesting an outside room as the interior rooms are somewhat dark as the sun doesn't filter down through the atrium. It was a bit noisy but the beds were comfortable, maid service very good and the rooftop views outstanding! Great restaurants all around.

Nice Accommodations Indeed!

This is a great boutique type hotel with panoramic views from the roof. The rooms are very neat, orderly and clean. The location is superb.

Very good place, very nice people!

Our stay was great. Hotel location was close to the beach. Restaurant was most excellent. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Easy access to everything.

Bad Trip

I have stayed at this hotel once before, 2 years ago, and it was $24/nite, now more than double as all hotels there, but this time, on Feb. 8, 2008, someone who had a key to my room, took my wallet (which held all my credit cards, money, ID and ATM) and the hotel staff did nothing to help out, but insinuate that it was perhaps a break in. Almost impossible. It was one of the staff. I was at the pool, just up a small flight of stairs, thinking it was a safe hotel. Not so. And immediately upon arrival, was given less money than the exchange reads, and confronted the owner, who spoke English one day, but not the next. I pushed to get the extra money they owed, and after much hassling, she gave me my money owed.
I had to make a police report and the hotel front desk staffer was angry that I did that. This was a nightmare, if you go, do not leave any valuable items in your room.

we've been coming to PV for couple of years now and we've stayed from a really nice hotel/condo to NOT so nice hotel. If you're looking for something in between you will not be disappointed with Hotel Eloisa. I LOVE this place. It's in the middle of everything!!! Restaurants, malecon, shopping, bars and clubs. We recently stayed over at Hotel Eloisa during thanksgiving week (Nov 2007) and I cannot wait to come back to this place. The staffs are great, location is perfect and the rooms are well maintained. We stayed in a suite and what a beautiful layout. It's spacious, beautifully decorated and well furnished. The only complain I have is, there's only one elevator ... but because of that we used the stairs a lot, which was good considering all the food we ate during our vacation. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Happy at he Eloisa

The hotel was perfect. Great location - close to the beach, the Malecon, shopping, restaurants and buses for the adventurous. Great price, great staff. The room was basic but with character and quite comfortable.

My friends and I just returned from staying here for a week and I could not have been more pleased. The hotel is very clean; the staff is friendly and helpful; very reasonably priced. The location is absolutely perfect! It's nothing fancy but it is very clean and centrally located in old town, very close to everything, especially my favorite restaurant, Cafe de Olla. I will most likely stay here the next time I visit Puerto Vallarta.

Pleasant no-frills hotel

Have stayed here twice. Rooms are average but clean and reasonably quiet. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great location near the beach. Good value for the money if you don't want a fancy place.
