Beautiful Viewsby Deborah Beebe from USWritten 10 months ago | I was surprised at the wonderful view from the balcony of my room and how great the service is. The resort is small and quaint, very neat and the rooms are clean and bright. The food is excellent and I found the people to be wonderful both on the staff and others who enjoy the resort year after year. Having their own private lagoon basically for snorkeling is a plus. I never missed a sunset! It is much quieter than staying downtown. I will return many times in the future. |
Great!!!!Rated:![]() by Pat Magee from United Sates Written 1 year ago | When I stayed here last year I had one of the greatest times. The service there I felt was outstanding and the employees were great and easy to get along with. There’s so much you can do from renting kayaks to going scuba diving. At night I would have to recommend Le Cliff Restaurant, they have a spectacular view of the ocean and the restaurant is literally built on the side of a cliff. |
costa surRated:![]() by JO from AMERICA Written 1 year ago | IT'S TOTAL RELAXATION. WE HAVE BEEN GOING FOR 4 YEARS NOW AND WE GO FOR 2 WEEKS. THE FOOD GETS BETTER AND BETTER. THE ROOM SERVICE IS GREAT, ALWAYS VERY CLEAN. THERE IS A GYM. THERE IS A SPA. INTERNET IS LIMITED, BUT WHO CARES.... READ A BOOK. WE LOVE THE LITTLE SWIMMING COVE, DOWN FROM THE HOTEL. 10 MIN TAXI OR BUS TO DOWNTOWN.

Beware the Time ShareRated:![]() by Jill Lucius (1 comment) ![]() from United States Written 1 year ago | Costa Sur is a good hotel with great views, good restaurant and bar service and a decent location -- but it is a bit far out from town for those who like to walk into town. Beware, however, this is a time share and we were forced to change rooms midway through our stay due to the time share scheduling. We were not notified of the need to change rooms until the day before they wanted us to move and wouldn't give us any details until after 10 p.m. the evening before the move. |
Beautiful ViewsRated:![]() by LB Written 2 years ago | Nice three star hotel with fantastic views south of town and somewhat isolated. Smaller facility with many owners in residence and an older, more relaxed group. Best water volleyball ever. Pool is small and walking potential limited. Taxi into town is six bucks USD. The newer (south) tower has better rooms, worth getting into. Avoid street level (5-6) as trucks rumble by early. The sunsets from your porch are fabulous, but not kid-safe. Staff was friendly. Good snorkeling on-site. A good value for the price, as long as you don't want walking access to the city or five-star cuisine. Close to Mismaloya and the southern jungles and Los Arcos. Tap water is safe for drinking. Free email access was nice, as was the gym. Happy hour 2x1 was a nightly happening. Not the hoopla of the larger hotels, nor all the amenities. Decent Mahi-mahi dinners for ten bucks, or cook in or go out. |
