Great Hotelby Judy from Saskatoon,SkWritten 2 years ago | The first time we came was 1983, and we have been back only missed 3years, we have enjoyed all the staff a few have been there from the start. We feel very safe and well taken care of. We have seen a lot of changes over the years all for the better. WE met a lot of friends there, so it’s like home to us. We take ae and enjoy all the meals if you read this we will be there jan15 at a table near the north entrance to the beach stop by and say hello. |
Very disappointedRated:![]() by Cristina Yaughn from USA Written 2 years ago | Be specific for your room. Our room view was the alley way, barb wire and trash behind the hotel. I had already changed rooms to get a king bed (they wanted to put a couple in a room w/2 double beds) and then I called to fix the air conditioner, didn't want to call a 3rd time to get a better view. Maybe I should have.
Don't loose that silly bracelet. Be aware that this hotel makes you wear a bracelet, whether you are part of the all inclusive or not (we were not all inclusive) We were told they use it for security as well. They never looked at this bracelet and they will charge you if you don't return these braclets at the end of your trip. 1 towel per person? Never used a pool where I had to present a specific towel card and you get 1 towel per person. Be prepared for frequent trips to towel booth if you want to get a dry towel after you get out of pool or beach! Pool loungers. The little chairs that were in the water, great feature, except the week we decided to go, they were under repair. Shut the whole week so we couldn't enjoy this feature. Overall, this 3 star is very deceiving. You get what you pay for. Cheap price, cheap hotel. |
Very EnjoyableRated:![]() by Suzanne Corey from Canada Written 2 years ago | My husband and I were there all inclusive from March 3 - 10, 2007. We enjoyed our stay very much and really loved the location, close to Old Town and the Malecon. The food was good although we did eat out for most dinners. All the employees were very friendly and went out of their way to help you. Activities were non-stop. Bartenders were great!!!!! Room comfortable with hard bed. Will be back again for sure......maybe next year??? |

AwesomeRated:![]() by Cheryl from Canada Written 2 years ago | We just got back from this hotel 2 days ago. It was an excellent vacation. Everyone in our group of 14 loved it and would go back. Our rooms were great, the service was excellent and the staff were all very friendly. Can't wait until next year. |
Perfectly acceptableby VLD from USAWritten 2 years ago | This resort is a great option if you want to be close enough to walk to town and are not a "hotel snob." One caution ... not all of the standard rooms are "garden view" or "ocean view." Unfortunately, a fair number should be labeled "street view" - and it's a VERY busy street. Having a room that hung out over the street was extremely disappointing. Other than that, no complaints. We had good maid service, nice waiters and hotel support staff. One tip if you are "all-inclusive" (and I do recommend the all-inclusive) -- many of the regulars brought their own large mugs along so that they didn't have to refill the standard bar issue 6 oz tumblers every 3 minutes. As for the food, my husband is a carnivore and I am a herbivore (vegetarian), and we both got by just fine. Have a nice trip and enjoy the beach ;-) |
Wonderful GemRated:![]() by Les Larson from Alberta, Canada Written 2 years ago | When checking in, remember that you need to get your TV remote, towel card, and key. If you don't get them at check-in, you will most likely have to pay for the "lost" items as they will tell you they were given at check-in time. Overall, the hotel is nice, it's not a luxury resort but the people are friendly, the food is well prepared with a wide variety even for the western traveler who doesn't want to try local dishes. The locale to shopping is excellent and Benny at the bar mixes a fine beverage. I definately recommend this place as long as your expectations aren't that of a spoiled snob wanting everything to be spotless and be handed everything on a silver spoon. I have been there before and will go again. |
