Honeymoon in the SunRated:![]() by Ross Morris from WA State Written 3 months ago | We are a muture couple and decided to spend our honeymoon in Mexico. I had not been in Mexico for 35 years and our overall experience was first class at the Buenaventura. We chose the European plan as we did not want to be tied to the hotel for our meals. Easy walking distance to the Malecon and the inumerable restaurants in Puerto Vallarta. We will be back very soon. |
We loved itRated:![]() by Michele from canada Written 4 months ago | Me and my sister stayed at buenaventura for the second year from jan.5 to the 19. We loved it the staff is amazing. We espacially had fun with Alex from the activity center. We had trouble with our toilette one night they sent someone right away. The food is good there's something for everyone. Great location for a younger crowed cause you can walk back to the hotel every night after clubing. |
Best Place To BeRated:![]() by Karen Coulthart from Canada Written 5 months ago | My family and I were there for the week of jan/05 to jan/13. We had the greatest time we were treated just great. There was a group of about 23 or 24 of us all. My favorite person was Fernado he was just the faboulous. The people selling on the beach were very nice also.
I really liked Rodger if some one could email me his and fernado's addresses I would like to send them a gift from Canada.I have recemmeded this hotel to everyone I see. And if you ask Fernado I have a loud mouth (haha). The GREATEST PLACE TO BE.Highly recemmeded. |
Great place to stayRated:![]() by Colleen Edwards from Canada Written 6 months ago | We stayed the 1st week of Deccember while still under renovations, but despite that it was wonderful. The staff were amazing and the location was perfect. It was great being able to walk into the city but get away from it all by the beach. |
Tip!by Jenna Begin from CanadaWritten 7 months ago | One quick tip: If they put you in a street facing room ask for a better room. They do this as a holding period so they can clean you a new room. If you don't ask you won't get a better view. Make sure you ask politely. |
Great service, staff and foodRated:![]() by Jenna Begin from Canada Written 7 months ago | This hotel is fantastic, open air foyer, large pool, roof top hot tub, clean rooms, great maid service and the people are amazing. They remember our names even when we haven't been for two years. I have been here with my mother, brother, husband etc and continue to return. I have never participated in the all inclusive (and never had to wear a braclet as commented above)
Highly recommend if you are looking for an affordable beach front resort minutes from the best restaurants and Malecon. |
A definate mustRated:![]() by Janice from Canada Written 7 months ago | We have stayed her 3 times and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Awsome atmosphere and the people are great. It's like one happy family. |
Awsome everytimeby Annette Desnoyers from Calgary, CanadaWritten 10 months ago | I have been going to PV every year for the past 5 years and stay at the Buenaventura becuase of the friendly staff and location. Nothing fancy this hotel, but clean and good food with smiles all around is what I look for. The bar under the hottub is the best. Staff are great and entertaining. Nicholas, Victor and Carlos take care of you. I like that these men remember your name and your drink each evening. I have gone In April, July and now in October of 2007 and have stayed at this hotel all three times. |
Great Hotelby Judy from Saskatoon,SkWritten 11 months ago | The first time we came was 1983, and we have been back only missed 3years, we have enjoyed all the staff a few have been there from the start. We feel very safe and well taken care of. We have seen a lot of changes over the years all for the better. WE met a lot of friends there, so it’s like home to us. We take ae and enjoy all the meals if you read this we will be there jan15 at a table near the north entrance to the beach stop by and say hello. |
Very disappointedRated:![]() by Cristina Yaughn from USA Written 1 year ago | Be specific for your room. Our room view was the alley way, barb wire and trash behind the hotel. I had already changed rooms to get a king bed (they wanted to put a couple in a room w/2 double beds) and then I called to fix the air conditioner, didn't want to call a 3rd time to get a better view. Maybe I should have.
Don't loose that silly bracelet. Be aware that this hotel makes you wear a bracelet, whether you are part of the all inclusive or not (we were not all inclusive) We were told they use it for security as well. They never looked at this bracelet and they will charge you if you don't return these braclets at the end of your trip. 1 towel per person? Never used a pool where I had to present a specific towel card and you get 1 towel per person. Be prepared for frequent trips to towel booth if you want to get a dry towel after you get out of pool or beach! Pool loungers. The little chairs that were in the water, great feature, except the week we decided to go, they were under repair. Shut the whole week so we couldn't enjoy this feature. Overall, this 3 star is very deceiving. You get what you pay for. Cheap price, cheap hotel. |
