Hotel great; beach, so soRated:![]() by Germán Written 3 years ago | I agree with the previous post, even though the hotel and the services are wonderful, the beach is not so good. There are plenty of other beaches near by which are all great, though. |
DESTINATION PARADISERated:![]() by Bruce&Fran Written 3 years ago | After our first trip in 2001, we knew that La Jolla de Mismaloya would be one of our most favored places to return to again and again.
The resort's staff are very attentive to all needs. It's children friendly. The breakfast buffet is overwhelming.
One of two property's buildings is a bit older so if you reserve ask for the building overlooking the 'little river' nearest the public beach...which has a charm of it's own...don't miss it.
Arrange with the concierge to take day trip by panga or catamaran to YELAPA. Bring your camera.
Also, at the entrance of La Jolla you can board a bus to downtown PV for about $00.40 Cents USD.
Visit in May (great weather..longer days...or in December...lots of religious festivities..but a bit cooler as sun goes down earlier.
Have fun...bring back great experiences.

Lo JollaRated:![]() by kay Written 3 years ago | We went in 4/04. The lobby, pool, and restaurants were beautiful. The rooms need updating (i.e. the bathrooms), but they are spacious. The food wasn't anything special so we went into town most nights where we found many fabulous restaurants. The service was excellent with a couple of exceptions -- a ceiling light fixture fell on my daughter's head and broke when it hit the floor. A maid I found in the hallway refused to come clean it up. I ended up taking her broom and dustpan and doing it myself. One of the concierges (Pamela) recommended a horrible horseback ride outing. Everything that I was concerned about and that she assured me wouldn't happen did. Afterwards, the hotel did refund the cost of the outing. |

Great choice for P.V.Rated:![]() by Bob J. Written 4 years ago | Everything about this place is great. The only complaint is that the beach here is bad, the hurricane in 2002 washed it away so it gets very deep quick. |
old timerRated:![]() by minnie Written 4 years ago | Wonderful place. Losing the beach was awful. We really miss it. |
