Bahia del Sol Category 4 stars

Just returned from our first trip to Mexico. We stayed at the Bahia del Sol in Nuevo. For an older condo it was extremely well kept. The staff was great and very helpful booking outing/excursions. For it being the rainy season it only rained 3 times and the storms were very short. Our condo was a 1 bed room 2 bath; the kitchen was very small but worked. As with most in Mexico the kitchen was standard 2 burner cook top, ect. It did have a microwave but was missing an oven, but was not a big deal for us. For the most part we had the pool and beach to ourselves. Even though Bahia is about a half mile from the mall the walk is nice and if the walk is to much the bus stop is right at the front of the community. If walking I strongly suggest using off, we used 100% deet off and had no problems but when we forgot it we were eaten alive by the misquotes. I can offer no complaints though for the Bahia or Mexico for that matter.

My parents own a month and hope to own more down there. I visited them last year and I am already planning my return trip again this year. I think the best part is the quaint feeling you get when you stay there. Take advantage of the private massages on the beach. AND a hightlight is the entertainment!!!

Stayed for the first time jan 06 and found it quite a value....so much so we bought two weeks....great location and not a crowded resort type

My husband&I rented one of these condos a number of years ago. Food was good (buffet style) and accommodations very acceptable. Superb pool and private. It was then a bit remote from the hotels and not a desirable walk on dark nights. We are contemplating trying to rent another condo&go back for another 3 (or maybe 4 weeks). Bicycles were for rent on the premises. Few people thatched sun protection on the beach. Very nice.
