beautiful vacation spotRated:![]() by Zulema Written 3 years ago | Just returned from our second one week stay and we are as excited to return as our first week. The facilities are still not complete but this will be almost perfect when finished ( they need a good surfing reef on the beach to be perfect). The restaurant was being remodeled during our stay and the provisional set-up was wanting although we did meet two wonderful couples through creative dining arrangements. Just outside the resort area on the highway to Bucerias (1 1/2 mi.from the Hotel) is the "VALLARTA GRILL" they have some of the best "real" mexican food and excellent grilled seafood. The staff is very accomodating and served several of the menu meals for my finicky daughter. They also serve a delicious Pina Colada. |
Flamingos in October '05Rated:![]() by TAC Written 3 years ago | We went October 2005, having bought last year. We were pleased with the rooms which were as spacious and beautiful as we remembered. The view was amazing and the staff are as friendly and courteous as they get. The first morning we were invited to breakfast to 'see what is new' and unwittingly found ourselves in another timeshare sales pitch. We had no intention of upgrading and the pressure wasn't too bad. When they started really giving it to us, my husband got mad and raised his voice and they immediately apologized and got us out of there. We are positive the prices on the food went up since last year, when they had only completed one side. We thought the quality of the food was quite good but sometimes the charges for drinks seemed inconsistent at the pool. We learned that when an easy, cheaper meal is desired, the deli is a good source for a roasted chicken or sandwiches which you can then take to your room. Suggestion: Bring some dish soap and laundry soap with you into Mexico to save money. Also, the Vallarta Adventures canopy tour was a highlight for us (we have 15 and 18 year old kids). Really fun, cool to get out of PV and just scary enough to be fun. |
