THIS IS THE BESTRated:![]() by stephanie from U.S.A. Written 2 years ago | This is the best hotel my family and I had ever stay at! We bought a condo or room thingy. I suggest you do the same! I LOVE it sooo much! I am only 13 yrs. of age and I love it. It’s an AWOSME place to bring your children they even have water trampolines! The blob is the BEST!!!! I am going back but I am not sure when I hope its VERY soon!! I LOVE it. Its really is beautiful! |
Will return againRated:![]() by S Habe from usa Written 2 years ago | This was our first visit to Flamingos, we had purchased a 2 bedroom unit last year while staying at VDP in Cabo. Needless to say our accommodations were terrific, we had an ocean front, third floor unit with 180' view of the ocean, we could have spent all our time on the large balcony w/Jacuzzi there. We found the service on front desk, front door bellman, poolside, housekeeping to be the best. Service within the restaurants was a bit slow, we in the northeast need to learn to slow down I guess... We rented a car for the entire week, we think next time we would only get for 4 days, enough time go to grocery and other shopping in town and see the countryside, the rest of the time we are content to enjoy the facilities on site. I did find others comments helpful and therefore made the decision to have our own car. We stocked up on food/drinks, cooked breakfast in every day and had sandwich fixing’s but treated ourselves to dinner out. This was mostly an R&R vacation so not a lot of activities on our agenda, I find the first time at a new location takes a few days just to figure out what there is to do so we’ll be all ready for next time! We did rent wave runners right on Flamingo's beach, the bay is quite calm and made for an enjoyable ride. 10/21/06 - 10/28/06 S Habe Connecticut |
Mrs. BenzingRated:![]() by Anonymous Written 2 years ago | We stayed at this resort during it's 50% final stages of construction. A little noisy but it was worth it. It is slightly removed from Puerto Vallarta and the next time we shall rent a car -it is cheaper than taxis. Although conversing with the drivers is fun. We are returning Oct 6 - Oct 13. More comments when we have returned. |
good and badRated:![]() by Brad Strecker Written 2 years ago | The Hotel is beautiful and kept very clean. The 1 bedroom was excellent it included 2 bathrooms, washer&dryer and fully functional kitchen. The food is terrible and over priced. The grocery store charges $5 for a can of tunafish but 2 liter of pop is$1.70 The construction was very annoying. |
Extremely Disappointedby JMGWritten 2 years ago | We spent 7 nights at the hotel the beginning of November. We endured constant construction noise from 8 a.m. till 5 p.m. At night, we were constantly awakened by the staff rolling carts down below on the patio. There was no restaurant. They set up table and chairs "wherever". The worst part was the food service. 30 min. to get a menu, 30 min. to give order, and 1 1/2 hours to get your order, and it was never right. Beware of this resort! Thank God I am home where I can rest quietly and eat a meal on time. |
Lousy foodRated:![]() by Terry Petty Written 2 years ago | The hotel was certainly clean and the staff was courteous but the restaurant was closed and the available food at the hotel was lousy. After buying the worst shrimp cocktail that I ever had anywhere my girlfriend tried their breakfast which was also lousy. We didnt eat there again. It is a good place to stay for the room, pool and jacuzzi. Just go somewhere else to eat. |
GreatRated:![]() by Sheila and David Written 2 years ago | My wife and I have just returned from Flamingos where we enjoyed three weeks of perfect weather- fine sunsets included. We found the service excellent especially concierges, reception, poolside waiters and maids. The lack of the main restaurant meant that we found two more in the nearby village of Bucerias. Shopping for food was excellent at Walmart in PV (use buses to save money on taxis. Interesting outings to Guadalajara, Huichol Indian village and San Sebastian in the mountains. We'll be back for 3 weeks next year. |
Didn't bug usRated:![]() by Liz Written 2 years ago | We stayed at this hotel for 7 night in mid November and we were only asked politely once if we would like to come to a time share presentation and when we told then that we really didn't have the time on this vacation we were never asked again. The service was pretty good especially the maid service and the rooms were a great value! The only problem is that the restaurant was undergoing some renovations so it wasn't available and the food at the snck bar was limited. |
Beware of this resort!by DEGWritten 3 years ago | It is easy to be taken in by this resort. On first glance and entrance, the grounds and hotel look great. However, if you hate to be surrounded and pestered by time-share leech salespeople, don't feel very tranquil when there is jackhammering all around you when you are trying to rest at the pool, irked because you can't find a lounge chair because groups of people "reserve" entire sections of them at 7AM, and really despise the most abysmal food and beverage service I have ever seen, then this place is NOT for you. |
Needs to matureRated:![]() by Nelson from CA Written 3 years ago | Stayed a week all inclusive in Nov with wife and two kids 14 and 16 y.o. Luckily my kids enjoyed boogie boards and kayaks because there is nothing else to do for teens. I spent a considerable amount of extra money for horseback rides and snorkeling. I refused the timeshare presentation because I despise salespeople and had no intention on buying. Construction noise was horrible...sunrise to sunset 6 days a week. Quality of food was good, service not organized though. Waited 2 1/2 hrs one night for our food... after seating!! One restaraunt and one menu is just not enough for a resort this size. All seating is outside and the breeze cools your food off quickly. Awesome sunsets, surf and beach...no complaints in that department. Plenty of loungers, but need more umbrellas for shade. Rooms are great. Very clean, modern and good maid service as long as you tip a buck or two per day. Matresses are way too hard though!!! We had to sign for every drink and meal even though we were all inclusive. Kind of a pain when you want to just grab a drink and go, you have to wait around for them to generate a bill for you to sign. I think this resort has lots of potential. They just need to finish the construction and get organized. Would consider staying again in a couple years. |
